A) If Al-Qaeda wanted Obama to win, they would publicy state that they back McCain

 

B) This almost sounds like more cheap politics - making up a story like this to damage McCain's team

I think they want Obama to win. That way he begins to pull our troops out and they can claim victory in the near future. If McCain keeps troops in they won't be able to claim victory until we are no longer in the Middle East. In their eyes they have already won the war because A) we are still there and B) our economy is struggling.

What about all of the innocent civilians killed in Iraq and Afghanistan? Does anyone care about them?

 

Don't be critical of the military action in Afghanistan. The Dem's were for this action. Being down on all military action makes you sound like a weak kneed pacifist.

I couldn't disagree with you more. The Surge is working and will continue to, we will win this war and it wont take 10 more years under McCain IMO. If we elect Obama, you would be correct.

 

 

So, if McCain is elected, you think he will successfully wrap up the war in something less than 10 years, but longer than it would take for Obama to redeploy our forces to Afghanistan (where they've always been needed more to fight the real al Qaeda threat)? I find it interesting that in the almost 6 years we have been in Iraq, victory has been "just around the corner" as long as we 'don't cut and run' or 'surrender'. You say you disagree with me, but your stubborn insistence on staying in Iraq indefinitely proves my point perfectly: Al Qaeda knows they can bleed America by keeping us tied down there.

We would not stand for civilian casualties here in America. If we were attacked and the attacking forces called the civilian casualties "collateral damage" and said they really meant to kill soldiers and government officials...would we be okay with that?

 

That was 911 and no, we will not stand for it. More American civilians were killed in a matter of minutes on Sept. 11 2001 then troops lost in the seven years of this war. Al Qeada doesn't care who they kill.
