Could Burnout be a disguised Raceland fan trying to stir the pot?

 

I dont think it needs stirred very much,i think it is boiling at this time.Cant believe the Ram fans are being so quiet,they have had this one marked on the schedule for a long time. I guess MUM is the word...........

Burnout seems to post to more Raceland threads than any other threads.

I'll take Raceland and 21.:thumb:that will make Raceland's total for the game around 44 points.Conditioning will not be a problem for Raceland, are you sure big brother always wins, didn't the class "A" Rams defeat the class "4" Tomcats, and the "4" class Greenup team?:thumb:

I have been contacted by several people about my posts, and I just wanted to set the record straight. I am not a Russell person, when I moved to the area, I began watching local high school football. I do seem to like Russell and Ashland more then some of the other area schools. I just like watching these two teams. I also see Raceland, Greenup County, Fairview, and Boyd County, I just try to attend what I think will be a good game, and this week, I will be attending the Russell/Raceland game.

 

 

I didn't mean to upset anyone, but I honestly think that Russell will win this game. Sorry to step on fragile toes, didn't mean to hurt tender feelings, just saying what I think. Russell is a quality program that wins, I noticed that quite a few people picked Russell to win in the contest threads, is that OK? I assume it is, and I don't think that I am the only one that sees what is going to happen.

 

 

Russell wins, Raceland looses, simple fact.

Russell will keep the Raceland offense off of the field with long sustained drives. Raceland will not be able to hang with the Russell offense. Russell will ware the Raceland defense down with 3-5 yards at a time. Heck, the Raceland starters have not played four quarters in four weeks, they will be worn out come the fourth quarter. Russell is well conditioned and will bury Raceland in the fourth quarter.

 

 

I have to disagree with the last sentence though, I don't think this game will be that close. Unless you think 21 points in close. Russell is Russell and Raceland is, well, little brother to Russell, and you know what happens when little brother picks a fight with big brother. It normally ends with little brother going crying to mommy. And, that is what I expect to happen tomorrow.

 

I really can't believe that some of the Russell fans are playing the "We're the underdog" card here. That is not what we do, we tell people that we are going to beat them, then we go and beat them, and we then tell them that we beat them. Come on Russell, stand up and tell Raceland that we are Russell and they are not.

 

 

 

Now you're just saying absurd things looking to start an argument. I see now that you're one of those fans that people are speaking of when they say........" Every school has few". Well my friend, I bet that shoe fits you quite well. Let me ask you this and I'd like an honest answer from you, How do you come to this conclusion of what you think will happen? What have you seen from this team that makes you think that? The name on the jersey is not going to win this game. Ive cheered for Russell for many years but I like to speak from my brain rather than from my heart. I call it as I see it What makes you think that Raceland will wear down? I know that you haven't seen Raceland very much with the things you say. But what makes you say these things?

Raceland you had better come prepared once again. If you believe this sandbagging that is going on, you are in trouble. Russell is not down this year, they have been beat by three very good teams, and they have won the rest, they are not down, they are good.

 

Russell got beat by Ashland who took you to overtime and you barely won. Russell got beat by Mason County who is a very good 3A team this year. And Russell got beat by Simon Kenton, a 6A team who is no push over. Russell has only lost games that they should have lost, that is it.

 

Aside from one overzealous fan, a lot of people in this thread are telling you that you are going to win easy. Well, you had better wake up and smell the roses, because you are not going to win this game easily, you are going to have to fight and take this game.

 

Linemen, you have been challenged by one poster on here, he said that you were not up to the challenge and that the Russell line was going to man handle you. I hope you take this personal and show that you are up to the task. Take the fight to them.

 

Remember, champions play hard every game, they do not play up or down to the expectations of an opponent. Champions play hard every play, every down. Don't be fooled by low expectations. This game will be another LCA, a hard fought game that you will have to play four quarters of football.

 

Don't leave Russell's stadium thinking about what could have been, leave knowing that you played your best for four quarters.

Well, you have told the Raceland team that you are going to beat them, now you have to do it. Will Russell win, maybe, maybe not. The first part of your plan is complete, now you just have to do step two, and trust me step one is the easy part.

 

Your right, Raceland is not Russell, you'll be able to tell them apart tonight by the colors. Raceland will be in their Halloween colors of Orange and Black.

O.K. Rams, you have had a great week of practice, I am sure that our coaches have a solid game plan in place. Stay focused, stay diciplined (don't get baited in to any stupid penalties), Play Each Play, Hit somebody!, Go out and do what you have planned to do, expect to do just have you have done all season. Not to high, not to low.......Play Raceland Ram Football!!! Russell will be ready and focused, the Red Devils are an excellent football team with a lot of pride and tradition, there is ceetainly no mistaking that.

This is also their senior night and they plan on going through you with ease from what I have been hearing. Russell wants to celebrate another sucsessful senior night and this time you are the guest of honor Rams. Don't you feel so good about that?

 

So Rams, I don't want anyone saying "I could have played that play harder" or "I lost my focus on this play" or any stuff like that. Leave it all out on the field..... Execute the game plan.....Play Each Play....Finish The Drill.

Your wins this season up to this point mean nothing for this game, nor do you impress anyone at Russell High School.
