Dont know that he said it. But would be disapointed if any player went into a game not thinking they can win.

 

I agree with that thinking.But ,why give a team that you are already an underdog to any bulletin board material ?

They did not opt to move up though did they?I thought they had to move up due to enrollment size.

 

That is correct. Both schools have higher enrollment than Beechwood. They did not have a choice. Beechwood has only around 300 students grades 9-12. It is a small class A school.

 

Personally, it would not bother me to see Beechwood move up. I knew when the realignment came along I would miss the fierce competetion with NCC. Beechwood/NCC was always one of the best game of the season.

 

However, there ARE other good teams in 1 A! It makes me mad when people say Beechwood SHOULD move up, just because they are good.:madman:

 

Who said 1A is intended for only the less competetive teams? Bellevue has beaten Beechwood a couple of times in recent history and I guarantee it was the best night of those players high school careers. All class A schools have the ability to become great opponents. To take away good competetion would be an insult to small schools.

 

Now, back to the thread.....Beechwood wins!:thumb:

Running Clock.. wasn't too hard. If Bellevue comes out and plays "soft", yes you will all be right, but if they actually think they can win, it will be closer. These are the same predictions they were given last year when it ended up closer than expected, and in 05-06 when Bellevue BEAT Beechwood 26-21 :ylsuper:

I will agree if we are talking about this past week. Hopefully they will put it together this week and show people what kind of team they can be. In the two loses this year Bellevue has been man handled by bigger teams. Maybe they can dig deep this week and not let Beechwood push them around. A lot more pride on the table this week hopefully Bellevue wont lay down like they did against Loyd. Thats not taking any thing away from Loyd they completely dominated the game after first couple of minutes.

BW by as many as they want. If they are smart they will use this game to work on the the missing elements.

Last year..closer than expected? Weren't the two scores 48-14 and 35-2? I wouldn't exactly call that close. And you also have to remember these two played late in the season in the first match up so many of the B'wood starters only saw half the game, to rest up for the playoffs and I believe NCC the following week.
