I dont know how you can say that they will not try to run the score up, With under 7 minutes to go and up 21, BW throw the ball deep two times aganist HC. Not what I would call handling things the way you are saying. JMO

That was second and third teams playing at the times you stated, those boys practice as hard and sacrifise as much as the starters(all teams) how can you tell them not to play the game! By putting them in you are not trying to run the score up!

Bellvue gets the nod, but what little advantage they will have will not effect the game that much.

If thats the case, and the other teams feel like they are out of the game, sub in your underclassmen. It is always BW to sub first. How fair is it to leave your seniors in the game. They are at times two or three years older than the kids playing in the second half for BW. Why does BW have to put in the JV team so you can feel good about not getting thrown under the bus.

 

All your tears about BW running up the score is old, truth be told BW isn't really all that good you just have not put in the body of work the BW kids have.

HARD WORK ALWAYS PAYS OFF.

Well I'm an HC fan and I think they had the choice to move up as I think they only have around 450 kids 9-12, but then again like I said I could be wrong...

Holy Cross and Newcath in the new alignment were 2A teams from the start. There was no "option" by HC to move up, they are in their appropriate class in the current football alignment.

I never said anything about putting the jv kids in before the first half is over. I think the Varsity should play the first half and maybe the first series of the second half depending on the situation in games like this. What I was saying is that they don't need to be throwing the ball with under a minute left in the first half up by 3 touchdowns.

If Beechwood truly wanted to "run up the score" I don't think that their scores would be this low. People need to give it a rest on the move up subject as well. If it were up to Rash, I don't think they would play any small school, but they have to and they go out and take care of business.

I agree with you that he wouldn't be playing any small schools if he had the choice and I was just pointing out one instance, I haven't been to enough of these games to know whether they do or not. But yes let's get back to the Beechwood/Bellevue game.
