The coaches need to worry about the next game and getting these players better no matter the circumstances. They owe them that much.

 

I agree, but we owe Coach Brossart the same support

If you talk to him he has great idea's for the furture of the program

and rumor's such as Rodenberg coming back does not help the current

coaches with players.

 

Someone posted that some of us in Park Hills have a chip on our shoulder

will darn right we do as Rodenberg set a very good football program back

to better himself and in my book a coach who puts himself ahead of the kids

is not a good coach

Coach Brossart will be fine and should not be looking over his shoulder (yet)

Honestly if the statement from Mr. Reality are true, I'm sure the administration of CCH is aware of it and will be giving time for Brossart to work with players and rebuild the program from the ground up. IMO, I think Coach Brossart needs a year maybe two to get this program back up and running. Only then do I think a critiquing of his program will be acceptable.

Why would a coach who got his dream job come back to CCH? Doubtful. I wouldn't if I were him. He made no secret of his intentions at CCH.

 

look towards the future. Brossart is the head coach of the football team NOW and he is working well with what he has and I think the colonels will be just fine. Playoffs aren't far off!

Why, then, when I sit in the stands and watch the CCH football games, do I hear the rumble of the parents who are dissatisfied...and I've even heard them say they are refusing support to the current coaches because they are waiting to give their support to the "new" coach? As a spectator, I can only imagine what those boys are hearing at home. And we all know that what is said at home definitely affects the attitude on the field.

So what if there are rumblings of dissatisfied parents? What does that have to do with Rodenberg?

This is the same guy who didn't do one single thing to help any of the kids get looks at colleges. Those same kids are the ones that gave him the state title to toss on his resume. Every parent I have talked to that had a senior on that team has told me he did NOTHING to help them play beyond high school.

Based on the replies from the CovCath folks, I think its safe to say the rumor is probably not true. If it is, I'd sure hate to be the person that approached him if that person's identity ever was disclosed ! :scared:

My guess is that someone is trying to take the heat off Coach Brossart by blaming Coach R.... Mr. Reality? Seems strange that it has been two years since Brossart took over and can anyone honestly say there has been improvement made? As I have said before, it isn't about the W/L but how the players have improved!

You are either being used by someone (a certain poster comes to mind), or have you recently purchased a bridge over the Mississippi River? Why would you even think this to be true?

Sorry about having three posts back, to back, to back but I was looking at some notes that I had made a couple of years ago and....

 

During the two years that Coach Rodenberg was at CovCath, the non-starters probably got more practice time with the JV team than any teams in the history of CovCath football. There were many CovCath faithful that said the JV team in 2006 (Rodenberg's 2nd year), was the best JV team in a long, long time. That team had wins over NCC, Dixie, Highlands, Beechwood, an undefeated East Central Indiana team and lost to Cincinnati St X 6-3. That JV team ran a college offense with signals from the sidelines (not the QB having to run to the sidelines) and audibles.

Two facets of the offense that Coach Brossart did not bring with him from Finneytown!

 

So this question begs to be asked, if the JV team was so good back then, what at CovCath changed? Oh that's right, they changed coaches!

We like it when members share the latest, greatest information but we will not tolerate Unsubstantiated Rumors. Patience is out of here.
