October 14, 200817 yr Trying to get a guage of how the 7/8th grade divisions are doing in NKY Looks like a lot of talent out there this year. The Fort Mitchell Spartans are on top of the list going undefeated to this point. Followed in a close 2 nd by Erlanger with 1 loss. The Bellevue Tigers and the South Kenton Lions will play it out this weekend to decide 3 rd place. IMO any of these teams could win the Super bowl this year. The games I've seen have been very competitive and hard hitting games.:fight::fight:
October 14, 200817 yr Ludlow was pretty bad. They have about 12 or 13 players total. They just run passes from Burt Pouncy to his little brother. They are both VERY good on bad teams. There was a rumor they wanted to attend Covcath I sure hope not. They could do great things for LHS.

Ludlow does run the spread offense, however Burt's brother Zach is definitely not the guy they throw to. In fact for 6 of the games this year, he was a guard on the line. In fact 6 of the 13 guys this year have scored touchdowns for Ludlow. I think Zach only has one, and is third in receptions. So I really do not know what you are talking about here in saying they only throw passes to his brother. Because that is not even close to the truth. We can just say I am VERY close to this situation, so I definitely know all about this. Ludlow is hurting for numbers this year. The first practice of the year they had just 13 players, and ended up getting up to about 22 players by the first game of the year. Where they won the first game of the year 40 to 0. However they have had some unfortunate things happen after the first game with two of the best players moving to Walton so they had to quit. A player being injured, and well a couple of people who just didn't stick it out. What they have now is 13 players who play their heart out. There is actually a lot of talent on the team, however their bodies have just not really matured yet like most of the other kids in the league. So they are the smallest team in the league, and bigger teams have just been able to wear on them. Yeah hopefully Burt and Zach go to Ludlow, which I hearing is more of a possibility now. Then yeah it definitely will help out, however there is also a few more very talented guys on the team who will help out. If these guys stick together, and once their bodies actually start to mature and grow like these other kids. Then these guys have the potential to do very good things once they at the high school level.

I would also throw Campbell County into the mix for the Super Bowl. I mean they have lost to those teams, but basically every single one was good close games. So they very well end up beating those teams in the playoffs. If I had to pick though, I think it will be Erlanger who wins the Super Bowl this year.
October 14, 200817 yr I only know about SK and South Kenton has lost two games. Spartans in the Hurricane 14-0 I believe Erlanger Lions? I think last week 36-24 Erlanger was up 21-0 in the third and SK dug themselves out of the whole. SK just got healthy which is always good come playoff time. I think it's a 4 way race for the top..

October 15, 200817 yr It seems like the Erlanger Lions always have a really good senior team... Then most of the good players from the team, go to better schools. Why don't they all just stay? If they all stayed, Lloyd would be so much better. But no, the really good ones leave. It just doesn't make sense to me.

I was surprised he made weight actually. I even more surprised that he wasn't playing on the freshman team for Bellevue this year instead. This kid is real good, and if he stays at Bellevue, then they have a stud QB coming up.
October 15, 200817 yr I would have to agree, should make for some very good games I think in the senior division it could go to any team. The top five teams are ready to win on any giving day. Spartans, Erlanger, CC, SK, and Bellevue. I've seen them all play and all have been solid games. Playoffs would be worth going to watch.

I would say he is real close to that height but i don't think he is close to 185lbs. which is the weight limit, he may be around 170. Bellevue does not want to loose this kid.
