I could never figure out why trade tapes on your team? I can remember my coach getting a tape on Danville from the team they played the previous week. Not from Danville. Times have changed.

That's the million dollar question. I heard at the Boyle JV game the other night that he was done for the year, but I don't believe that. I had thought he was coming back this Friday against Mercer, but I can't seem to confirm that anywhere. I saw his dad at practice on Monday and his mom and brother were at the JV game, but I didn't see Jordan. Does anyone know his status? Anyone?

Amusing is a nice way of putting it. Its a little embarrasing I think. If the rule or standard practice has been trading tape on the past two games, then just do it. So I take it by the article they still haven't traded films, right? I guess its a mute point now as we're just days away from the game.

 

If Boyle comes out Friday night and ends up rollling over Mercer, it'll make this film trading situation even more embarassing.:irked:

I've heard of this happening before and coaches agreeing to it and then again they haven't come to agreement. As a matter of fact, I've heard of it happening this year in a couple different situations before this came about. At the same time I can easily see both sides arguments and feelings. Some have worked it out, others haven't.It's not uncommon for coaches to trade "good" games instead of trading a meaningless one, which it sounds like the West Jessamine film is.

 

I would have to take the Mercer coaching staff in a win, though. Two of the state's best in the history of KY high school football and another one that rushed for over 3,000 in his career. haha

I agree with this statement! Boyle always give up one big play that goes for a touchdown. The Danville hail mary before halftime, the Henry Clay running back who couldnt go down, the West Jessamine quarterback rolling 70+ yards down the field. It would be hard not to say Boyle County doesn't give up a big play. Either way, Boyle wins!

I know this is a football thread, but does this mean he isn't playing basketball:scared: or will he just miss the beginning of the season? His parents have been involved with the basketball boosters still, but this is the first I have heard about after season surgery. With his future being in football I wonder if we'll have him on the basketball court.

He's playing. By the way if he doesn't play basketball Mr. Goldsmith will replace him on the front lines without much of a drop off. A couple of sources tell me he is a beast underneath the boards. :thumb:

Super, I'm a Mercer fan. Probably have been for about 20+ years now. I've tried to keep my perspective on this game and it may sound like I don't believe in the Titans, but I do. I just think they're going to have to play a near perfect game to beat Boyle County.

 

I agree with you though, the Mercer folks aren't on here like they used to be. Looks to me like some have jumped ship. I actually asked the same question on an earlier thread about where are all the Mercer fans. The one bgprepper you could always count on to be on a Mercer thread with good stuff was Buffalo Gap, but I haven't seen that user on here at all this year.

 

Anyway, I guess Mercer fans don't seem as confident as they once were so they've all just disappeared. How sad!! I think their absence makes a statement in and of itself. No smack talkin' in Titan Town these days. :sssh:

Maddog22, as a HUGE Boyle fan that works in Mercer, trust me, they haven't missed many opportunities to talk smack to me in the last couple of years. I can take it pretty good, but I always tell them not to get mad when the tide turns the other way. Good luck to both teams and let's hope for a great/injury free game tomorrow night.
