Maddog22, as a HUGE boyle fan that works in mercer, trust me, they haven't missed many opportunities to talk smack to me in the last couple of years. I can take it pretty good, but I always tell them not to get mad when the tide turns the other way. Good luck to both teams and let's hope for a great/injury free game tomorrow night.

 

I hear ya! There was a lot of smack talkin' the first year of merger and a little last year, but you're right, its hard to take what you dish out sometimes. I knew Boyle wouldn't be down for long and they would get back to their winning ways and I hope Mercer is building a program that will get to the level of success you all have experienced.

Amusing is a nice way of putting it. Its a little embarrasing I think. If the rule or standard practice has been trading tape on the past two games, then just do it. So I take it by the article they still haven't traded films, right? I guess its a mute point now as we're just days away from the game.

 

If Boyle comes out Friday night and ends up rollling over Mercer, it'll make this film trading situation even more embarassing.:irked:

Thanks for the clarification Wildcat. I understand the point that the W. Jessamine film wouldn't be much, but if the standard practice is trading the previous 2 games I just don't see why it was that big of a deal. Just my opinion. Its added a little fire to an already big matchup so I'm anxious to see these 2 teams get after it tomorrow night. Should be a good one!

One would also think that Larry would call over to Lincoln, as some of his assistants from there stayed when he went to Boyle. They both got their films. They both know too many coaches and connections around the state. I can see both sides to this coin. Just little added twist to the game. Happens all the time, but since this is a big game, it's being blown out of proportion by some fans. Game on.

No way Mercer scores 28 on Boyle County. If LexCath only got 11 points, I don't see how Mercer can get to 10, IMO. LexCath had to throw the ball to get in scoring position and throwing the ball isn't one of Mercer's strong suits. I think they will have to successfully run the ball and possibly wear down the BC defense to get some scores late in the game to make it a game, but until I see a team successfully run the ball against BC(which could happen tomorrow) I have a hard time believing it can be done. We shall see. This isn't last year's version of the Rebels.

 

 

 

In other news, I heard the Mercer County Sports Complex had to be cleaned today. I spoke to a family member of one of the custodians of the Sports Complex who said that they had to clean it up today. It's an unfortunate incident and I think it might add a little more spice to a new rivalry with a merged Mercer County. I can't wait until tomorrow night.

I can't believe the lack of respect Mercer is getting, Mercer's schedule has been way more tough and they just put a lot of points on Hoptown. Look for Mercer to win by at least a TD or maybe more and this is not disrespecting BC, I just think Mercer is pretty good.

I don't think Mercer is better than Lexington Catholic or Danville and if it is disrespectful for me to say so, then so be it. I simply have a hard time believing that you can beat this year's version of Boyle County when you throw the ball 5 times a game. If Mercer wins by a td or more, then I will eat crow, but until then, I think Boyle wins by at least 3 tds. I also think Hoptown is way down and nowhere near as good as they are accustomed to being. I don't know anything about the Tennessee team, but I do confidently feel that Boyle County would soundly defeat all the teams that have beaten Mercer County this year. That may be why all the people who are doubting Mercer County(myself included) may seem disrespectful. It'll all be settled tomorrow.
