I can't believe the lack of respect Mercer is getting

 

This Rebel fan respects Mercer! And has quoted this year in the football forum that this Mercer team has scared me the most of any game this season. I believe that this Mercer team is good.

 

 

they just put a lot of points on Hoptown.

 

They also gave up alot of points to Hoptown 47 to be exact. Week before gave up 42 to Greenville.

 

Mercer's schedule has been way more tough

 

IMO Warren Central, Henry Clay, Danville, Lafayette, and Lexington Catholic is a little more tough than Madison Central, Pulaski, Southwestern, Greenville TN. ,and Hopkinsville

I can't believe the lack of respect Mercer is getting, Mercer's schedule has been way more tough and they just put a lot of points on Hoptown. Look for Mercer to win by at least a TD or maybe more and this is not disrespecting BC, I just think Mercer is pretty good.

 

If I've added right Mercer's opponents are 15-17 (Don't know the record of the TN team).

 

Boyle's are 19-20.

 

The Rebels have played: 2 6A schools, 1 5A school, 2 4A schools and 1 2A school.

 

The Titans have played: 1 6A school, 4 5A schools and the TN team.

 

Those records look pretty even. If there are any common denominators it would be Madison Central where the Titans turned the ball over alot and lost 25-0 (?) while Boyle played the Indians tough in a scrimmage in preseason.

 

The tipping point for Boyle is probably the Lex Cath performance. Their defense gave up only 2 good drives and the scoring drive they scored on was continued by a 4th and 10 Hail Mary bomb that worked for about 30 yards.

Greeneville, TN is now 5-2. They are a 4A school (TN 2nd largest public school division). Last year, they were a 4A regional finalist in (the same playoff format as KY).

Bell will be the one to beat in the play offs to get to state.

No one has said anything about ordering state rings, we are taking it one game at a time and this is a Boyle/Mercer thread last I checked. Most Boyle fans such as myself are extremely excited about the tremendous turnaround the football program has taken in one year. Not to mention that we will have to beat Lexington Catholic again before we even get a chance to play Bell County.

 

We play Mercer tomorrow and most of us feel pretty confident going into tomorrow night's game. We shall see.

One would also think that Larry would call over to Lincoln, as some of his assistants from there stayed when he went to Boyle. They both got their films. They both know too many coaches and connections around the state. I can see both sides to this coin. Just little added twist to the game. Happens all the time, but since this is a big game, it's being blown out of proportion by some fans. Game on.

Coach French wanted to exchange film as he has with everyone else. Marty wanted to pick and choose which films he wanted

Boyle will roll in this game. The Rebels are solid all around and shouldn't have much trouble.

 

How about Jaggers refusing to trade film with Boyle Co. Coach Larry French? Seems kind of odd to me that a Coach like Jaggers wouldn't trade film with Coach French. What's the deal with that?

 

Jaggers seems to always want to be "The Man". In this case, French showed him who IS the Man!
