All I can say is a paraphrase of Dr. Lazarus:

"By Grabthar's Hammer; by the sons of Warvan: we shall be AVENGED!"

Extra credit given for anyone who identifies that quote. :D

Bring it on baby.

How can you say that is not a game changer considering when it happened and losing a reciever?

Because LCA had enough good receivers to go to besides #18, that's why. If losing him made their team that much worse, then they weren't a great team to begin with.

Bring it on baby.

I think LCA was thrown off their game without Bluto in attendance. His absence proved to be the difference maker.

"Give him a hand; he's British!!"

You may be right. How could I ask them to "Win one for the Bluto", when I couldn't even make it to the game??? :sssh:

Where were the LCA fans, their side was only about 3/4 full. I would think the states class A runner-up and ranked 2nd and playing the 3rd ranked team would have a better following than this..LCA is a great team and they deserve better support than they got last night..

That kid was ejected for that? Terrible call...

Just wanted to note that the only "read" on the play I intended was whether LCA could appeal and allow #18 to play next week...

Raceland won the game... the best defensive team prevailed Friday evening... my hats off to the Rams! Two WELL played games in a row against LCA.

Nice post tracker and an all class statement by the bolded comment :thumb:.

LCA is a very good football team as is Raceland, there is a ton of respect down here for you guys. Raceland has certainly had games in the past when they felt some calls went against them, everyone does. That is just part of it.

I just hate seeing a discussion on this great of a game between two very good teams be tainted by "talk" about officiating regardless of which side is doing the talking or complaining.

JMO - these two teams play 10 times this season it may very well go 5-5. Good luck to LCA the rest of the way out. (except for the one possibility in the district championship at Raceland later in the season :D if in fact that is how it turns out).

I agree that Raceland deserved to win the game. Any team that gives up 34 points in 24 minutes of high school football clearly does not deserve to win the game. My only argument would be that the actions shown on the video were not worthy of an ejection. The player should be allowed to play next week.

The same way that I can ask Raceland to "win one for the Rambler" with me not being able to be there. It's called being a fan and long time supporter of the program, I have some seniority here.:D

That or they just look and feel sorry for the old fart.

I watched the video clip you provided. Thank you, BTW. It is not conclusive, IMO. It looks like there was an extra downward motion of the foot that could be seen as a stomp/kick. I think he was just making sure his foot got free. But his body language was angry, which adds to the kick argument - especially if you're the official and have to make a spot judgement.

Looks like a GREAT game. Coingratulations to the Rams. Keep up the good work.

Are you kidding me, that is not even close to be an ejectable play.

What is amazing to me is that last nights game was the best in the area. Two top ranked 1A teams that played to their potential, down to the last drive and all anyone wants to discuss is one call. Yes, it is argumentative; yes, it could have went either way. When you have the talent on the field that LCA and Raceland have, how can this be the point of attention/topic? LCA had many other targets to go to at the end. It was a great game by both teams, period. The officials did not change the outcome, period. I don't think anyone arguing about last nights officiating are complaining about the no call in the endzone last week at LCA against Lloyd? That, probably did change the outcome of a game, remember.... 4 and goal from the five with 10 seconds?

Don't ruin a great game and diminish what happened out there for both teams! Both teams left it on the field.
