Raceland 37 LCA 35

Featured Replies

Raceland had better work on pass defense. LCA passed at will.

WOW! Awesome game Rams!! (Please tell me I dont have to read 37 - 35 for the next two months)...just kidding....Great Game!

I was one of them in on that 34-32 parade in the prediction thread, I apologize. Just a little "Ram Tough" love for our team.:D:thumb:

Great job Rams!

What a game Bluto. I hate to say it but I hope all the penalties LCA had in the last series were true infractions. I would hate for this game to end like this because of bad refs. 2 good teams going at each other should not be decided by the refs.

I was not there but from what I heard by a phone call just a minute ago one that hurt was a (flagrant) PF against LCA and it was an obvious one.

I personally don't think that anything could take away from this game or outcome even if it had been LCA the winner. These are two very good football teams that are pretty evenly matched and when the last two games were decided by 2pts. each with each team winning imo tells you how good both of these teams can be.

This was probably one of the best high school games I've seen. Congrats to the Ramblers.

Congratulations to the Rams. I caught the second half on the radio coming back to Maysville from Georgetown. While the LCA radio crew was giving it to the refs a little bit, they weren't over the top about it.

This looks to be quickly turning into one of the Commonwealth's really good rivalries!

This was a great game to watch, if you missed it, you missed a great game. Both, Raceland and LCA are very good teams.

Raceland won the battle of the first half, and barely held on in the second half. Raceland's running game was very good in the first half, and after the half time adjustments, LCA slowed it very well. Raceland's passing offense was decent but not where it needs to be. Raceland's pass coverage has to come along more. They at times played the pass decent, but by no means were covering the receivers well.

LCA is a great team and will win many more games. Hayden is a beast, Raceland just had a good game plan to slow him down. Whitt threw the ball well at times, but threw some short balls on occasion. LCA will regroup and be ready for next week, I am sure. They are going to be hard to beat for anyone who plays them. Good luck to LCA in the rest of their season.

I really can't single out any players who won the game for Raceland. It was truly a team effort. The defensive line and LB's played physical football. They really shut LCA's running game down. On offense everyone who touched the ball gave a great effort. The RB's ran hard and had very few, maybe two runs for loss. The receivers played well and made some clutch catches.

Congratulations to Tate Preston, the only name I have mentioned for Raceland, on kicking the winning FG. He has worked hard on getting better and it payed off. Great job, Tate.

Wow wow. I cant say anything. Love them rams. D C EXPRESS on the go.

Congratulations to Raceland! It looks like the Rams are going to make a run at an undefeated season. That's exciting for the Northeastern Kentucky area because it will make for some terrific atmospheres...notably the Halloween night game at Russell and the home playoff games they are sure to have.

I didn't see any penalties on LCA's final drive I thought were made-up. But it was the personal foul after a big pass play that really did them in. They made a couple of more plays to get close to the end zone but the LCA QB had to force a pass and ended up getting picked off. Game over. The LCA player doesn't get the personal foul (and he was ejected) I think the outcome may have been different. But either way I thought it was a well officiated game.

Now that all is said and done that was the best high school football game I've seen...maybe ever. What an atmosphere, what a game, and what a great couple of teams. It was a blast to watch!

I went to the game instead of going to the Russell one. Raceland is a good team with a lot of heart and deserved to win the game. This is something Russell does'nt have and that is heart so far this season. Good luck on the rest of the season and see you in week 10 with a 9-0 record. Russell should be 7-2 if they start playing as a team.

Wow...the LCA player was ejected??? What a horrible error for a player to make when his team is driving to try to win the game! What in the world transpired to cause the ejection?

Ram made reference to it, but hats off to LCA's staff for making some great defensive adjustments at half time. LCA has a great Coaching Staff.

To the Rams- GREAT WIN. :ylsuper: That Orange Crush defense really kept the Haley kid from going wild. The players were prepared, executed the defensive gameplan, and played with a lot of heart.

WAY TO GO RAMS!

Enjoy it now, but Monday it's back to work because Greenup is next and now you guys the team to beat.

From where we were at it looked like he kicked the kid that tackled him. Not sure if anything happened before that to initiate that reaction. It really didn't seem like a very chippy game. Lots of each team helping each other up all night. LCA is a rival, but its always been a friendly one as far as I can tell.

Ram was on top of the press box- he probably had a clearer view of it than we did.
