September 24, 200817 yr I realize everyone has personal problems that come up in their life, but a simple phone call to his boss would have taken care of this problem. And I agree that he was in the wrong for not calling. I do not disagree with the suspension based on what I have read. I simply do not think he is an "idiot" or a "moron". I reserve those names for players like Pacman Jones and Chris Henry. And Chris Cooley...

To say that Burress hasn't been a bonehead in the past is wearing your blue shaded glasses HB. He has the talent to be more than he is IMO.
September 24, 200817 yr What an idiot. Doesn't he know that I have him on both of my fantasy teams? Now I will be without him for two straight weeks!
September 24, 200817 yr The moron could be back October 5th. He's filing a grievance with the Giants. I say he gets traded by next season.
September 24, 200817 yr I wonder if he's ticket about his small role in the offense on Sunday. I was wondering the same. If so he REALLY needs to grow up.
September 24, 200817 yr Plexiglas will be losing $235,000. He will only be sitting out 1 game. The other week is a bye. Quote from Eli: "Hopefully he learns his lesson." 2005 - benched for a quarter for missing 2 meetings. 2006 - fined for taking his wife to an ultrasound. 2008 - Earlier this season, he refused to practice due to contract issues. He has also been fined for wearing his socks to high and not being 5 minutes early to a meeting when he was supposed to. Ane he was fined while in Pitt because he said Cowher shouldn't have had practice on Mothers Day.
September 24, 200817 yr I wouldn't be so quick to judge. I read on another site that he has had some recent troubles in his personal life. I'm sure the suspension came for good reason, but Plaxico is far from a "NFL Punk". I'll go with "tool".
September 24, 200817 yr I wouldn't put him in the same category as a Chris Henry, but he is quite capable of being the same kind of cancer Moss and T.O can be. Basically he is being your typical WR.

He has the talent to be more than he is IMO. Burress hasn't caused very many problems at all while with the G-Men. He has worked his butt off in many cases, last year being the best example. He played through some very bad injuries all year long.
September 24, 200817 yr Rosenhaus said, “He’s apologetic for this,” Rosenhaus said. “He’s remorseful about it. He’s certainly contrite. And he certainly does have a good case here.”

September 24, 200817 yr Rosenhaus said, “He’s apologetic for this,” Rosenhaus said. “He’s remorseful about it. He’s certainly contrite. And he certainly does have a good case here.” That's what a good agent does...Says all the right things. Doesn't mean they are true or false.
September 24, 200817 yr Rosenhaus said, “He’s apologetic for this,” Rosenhaus said. “He’s remorseful about it. He’s certainly contrite. And he certainly does have a good case here.” If He needs a new PR guy maybe he should consider you HB!
September 24, 200817 yr That's what a good agent does...Says all the right things. Doesn't mean they are true or false. Might be true, but you have no evidence to prove that what he is saying is false. Burress, according to every report I've read, was very disapointed when he was told about the suspension. Apparently he informed the team Monday night what was going on...he tried to tell them what happened and there was a communication problem. Apparently the Giants felt the need to issue a suspension. I have no problem with either side. I honestly think it's being blown way out of proportion. Coughlin is a pretty strict coach...this probably wouldn't have happened if he were on a different team (like the Bengals, or Cowboys).
