September 24, 200817 yr I agree there are lots of great places to see/visit in KY. Two of my favorite are 1) LaQuijie (La Kee Gee) near Morehead University. It's a rock outcropping that's a great place to hike. 2) High Bridge near Lexington. During my days at UK (80-84) it was a fun place to visit. At the time it was the highest railroad bridge over water in KY. It's not a family destination, but was cool to see back in the day!

September 24, 200817 yr It hasnt been mentioned so far. I went to Boonsborough(sp) several years back and was really fascinated. Also, although it has been named, there is nothing like Spring racing at Keeneland. It is just special. Get a bowl of burgoo and a cold one and your all set!
