Colorado 17 WVU 14 (OT)

Featured Replies

Yes very.

WVU needs to get everyone on the same page.

As for Colorado, impressive win.. they looked solid.

Was storming the field necessary though?

Good win for Colorado, but they were very fortunate. WVU had every opportunity to win this game and blew it. Horrible coaching performance. I don't think a BCS school with moderate success in the past should have stormed the field.

Anyway, where have I seen that Colorado coach before? He looks so familiar.

He coached at Boise State until 2005.

Storming the field is as old as slap braclets. Everyone does it now just to do it.

I understand the appeal of it all; but, I have just never gotten in to it.

100 new threads on the one WVU board I visited in the last 15 minutes...

Are they glad RR left?

I expected this from the Mountaineers. There are few, if any, examples of an assistant who is "popular" with the players taking over for a very successful coach who has departed and maintaining the previous level of success.

How many times has it happened in a similar way? Great coach leaves (RR)...popular, respected, assistant takes over as interim coach (Stewart)...the early returns are great (48-28 over OU in BCS Bowl)...then reality sets in (1-2 with losses to East Carolina and Colorado).

Ouch. The Big East is ripe for the pickin'...who's going to step up...UC or USF? Or Pittsburgh:lol:?

Louisville.

Louisville.

It's certainly possible. But, I'll stick with UC and USF until further notice. Pittsburgh was a joke BTW..I can't take any team with Dave Wannstedt as it's head coach serious.

Like hearsay said, I think West Virginia might be this season's 2007 Louisville team...

I'd have to say USF or UC.

West Virginia doesn't look like they have everyone on the same page.

I knew the Vegas line with the 'Eers giving up 2 1/2 on the road was nuts. Should dropped the dime.

Another "Elite" team from the Big Least goes down.

It's no longer a "might be", they already are.

Could be. I was skeptical of them from the start with a new coach and Slaton gone. Noel Devine is an electrifying talent, but I still felt like they needed another back to help carry the load. I'm not sure he's got the size to carry a full load. But, more importantly, I never believed the team wouldn't take a hit in the coaching department switching from RR to Stewart. In that sense, it's very similar to Louisville, because I never felt like they could lose Petrino without a hitch.

Of the two, I think U of L is better off because I have more confidence in Kragthorpe over the long haul than Bill Stewart. I would expect the Mountaineers to be looking for a new head coach at some point...sooner than later would be in their best interest.

Hawkins sure has Colorado going in the right direction, and I must say that Folsom field is very nice.

I was watching the end of the game, and wondering why they weren't called a TO.
