Yep, that 4 game stretch will show how accurate that average really is. From what your saying about the past opposition I don't see how those stats can hold up. He could drop down to a paltry 5 or 6 yards per carry?:lol: With that being said it still sounds like he would be a fun player to watch.

Estill has 1261 yards 114 rushes = 11.06 yds per carry first 3 games.

Justin Covey 449 yds 38 rushes = 11.8 ypc

Ben Benedict 437 yds 42 rushes = 10.4 ypc

Kenton Roberts 223 yds 34 rushes = 6.5 ypc

Miles Simpson from Simon Kenton...550 Yards on only 51 Carries and 5 TD's, thats about 11 yards per carry...Has also returned a kickoff for TD!!!

Those are great numbers, especially for 3 on one team, being able to spread the ball around that much. However, I will reserve my judgment on these after they have played some quality competition. Still impressive none the least.

I'm sure alot of these averages will start to drop as the season goes on. Like 3wishes said, alot of these stats are not against quality competition! However Boyle County's Rees MacShara is averaging 10.5 yards a carry and he has played Warren Central, Henry Clay and Danville! I expect his average to drop after these next 2 games with Lafayette and Lexington Catholic. That being said, there is a lot of fantastic numbers and I'm very impressed with GRC running back Ryan Williams.

I wasn't suggesting 7 ypc was the record just close. I'd say Williams is way out in the lead, but there may be a drop off from him to others that are close to 2nd, 3rd, etc.

I'm sure the 11.2 pace won't keep up but he is THAT good. Highly undderrated imo. Without him, GRC would not be near as good.He's just gone unnoticed cause he doesn't play in Louisville or Lexington.

That's a little old so it's hard to go by that. I believe 2 extra games have been played by teams since the last time that was edited. Plus, not every team in the state submits their stats report to KHSAA.

 

If they are too lazy to submit, they shouldn't be listed. It is sheer unadulterated laziness on the part of coaches not to get athletes the recognition they earn.

The date says Sept. 2nd but show 3 games. I don't think it's old, but rather the wrong date.

 

Haven't all teams played 3 games, before tonight. I don't think anyone, has 2 extra games.

Ball Report on 27 this morning said GRC's Ryan Williams is the leading rusher. He is avg. a 1st down a carry. Impressive!!!!

He runs hard, cuts on a time and break tackles w/ ease.

I would think that Estill county will be up there by mid season. They run the double wing, and only pass a handful of times per game.

After 4 Estill has a total of 176 carries for 1522 rushing yards, 8.64 yards per carry.

 

Benedict - 78 carries, 593 yards 7 TD 7.6 ypc

Covey - 59 carries, 544 yards 10 TD 9.2 ypc

Roberts - 39 carries, 237 yards 2 TD 6.1 ypc

the Pirates have gained 1422 yards (355.5 per game) and all 6 have scored a Touchdown rushing the ball. Belfry has already had 4 different players tally 100 yards in a single game.

 

All in all I have Belfry with 1422 rushing yards, and 16/25 passing for 222 yards and 2TD

 

1644 yards- 411 ypg
