Pretty satisfying win; it was nice to see them play with some confidence. Still need a lot of work in a lot of areas, but they look nothing like the team that stank it up a few weeks ago.

Nice win for the Cards. I didn't get to watch the whole game, but what I did see was a better team than what showed up at the UK game.

- UL is finding their groove it seems. This was an excellent win, and I totally agree that the Big East Championship is definately plausible.

 

- Doug Beaumont is my favorite college football player that is not playing for UK. I love his attitude and workmanship out there.He's not talking trash, just making plays.

 

- Night's like last night reassures that their is definately plenty of D-1 talent in our state and that talent is improving.

 

- Ron English is going to be Steve Kragthorpe's savior.

 

- Chichester is UL's X-factor, if this kid improves and stops dropping passes he poses major matchup problems for everyone UL will be playing. But, on night's like last night he may also be a liability with his drops.

 

- UL fans didn't really want to admit it after the UK game, but UK's defense definately top tier.

WOW, I must have missed this somehow, he was their big bright spot last year. What made him transfer? I thought he was going to be their next big RB. Even though he was little.

It was the Rutgers game. I meant. UofL had no reason winning that game but Allen turned it on.

In regards to Vic Anderson vs Brock Bolen, it's apples and oranges. Vic is a great RB for his speed, Bolen for the fact that he makes defenses afraid to hit him because he hits them first. They're an awesome combination.

 

Micah Johnson wasn't afraid to hit him. :sssh:

 

Seriously, UL looked good from what I seen last night. I was glad to see Beumont and Anderson do well. I watched them in the Ky-Tenn allstar game their senior years and I was very impressed. They seem like really well respected young men. I am glad to see them doing so well.

He had 22 yards on 5 carries in that game...

 

Bolen had 117 yards on 13 carries...

 

Powell had 91 on 13 carries...

I am glad UL decided to run the ball and stick with it. I hate when teams try to pass just to balance out the offense. If you can run, you do it.

UofL defintely ran the ball more often than not but the offense was still pretty well balanced.
