September 18, 200818 yr Author K State could possibly be one of the worst tackling teams I have ever seen. They allowed Louisville to establish the run and then Louisville started going to the air. Louisville's D is still pretty atrocious also. ERRRRR. Louisville's defense is VASTLY improved from last year. They aren't a GREAT defense, but FAR from atrocious. - UL fans didn't really want to admit it after the UK game, but UK's defense definately top tier. Reread the threads. I gave UK's defense much deserved props. I agree with everything else you said, though. Vic is also a classy player, from what I hear. I hope he and Beaumont can be true examples to future classes with their leadership. Micah Johnson wasn't afraid to hit him. :sssh: My biggest beef with Kragthorpe so far is how little Bolen was used in the UK game. I can't believe I'm still the only one to talk about the strong line play, and we had two injuries there we were covering. Indeed, I would venture to say they looked their best last night so far this season. Remember that Josh Chichester is a freshman, so is Victor, add to that a sophomore Doug Beaumont....man, the future doesn't look so bad, huh? Not at all. Given all the platitudes on this thread, what did Coach Kragthorpe do to make him a better coach than he was 12 months ago? Maybe some UL boosters/Krag haters hit the panic button a little too early. Sometimes good things come to those who wait. He got rid of some useless assistant coaches and rotten players. I've been a Krag supporter the whole time, and applaud him for what he's done for this season. It has to be Bilal, he is #33, no one else did anything with any substance. I know you're referring to RB's in that game, but to take this sentence out of context, I must say I'm surprised you wouldn't mention your golden boy. Brohm went out in style that game. And yes, it had to be Bilal, if it was the Rutgers game. Stripling was a real let down last year (though he was #24).

September 18, 200818 yr But when those 8 yards eventually turn into 80, not only have they gotten the yards anyway, but it's taken time away from our offense being on the field. Here's the deal, if you make a team run 8-12 plays before scoring, more bad things can happen, ie...fumbles, sacks, int's, etc....if they score on 2 play drives, and long hitters, there's not much to do to stop them. I am extremely pleased with this defense, excluding 2-3 of the kids falling asleep in the 4th last night. I imagine they will be very focused for the entire 60 minutes against UConn.
