You might not have received the memo, but a few years back it was declared that the Canuck chanteuse's name is no longer permitted to be mentioned on BGP because of her considerable sins against the art of music. Between her and Bryan Adams, I think there is more than enough justification for an invasion of Canada.

Mcpap, have you been to Belfry? Radio???? They pipe that stuff up there. It takes so long to get a broadcast there that Elvis is just now hitting the charts!:eek:

It was my first favorite song, which is why it holds so much value to me. It introduced me to music in a more powerful way than any song ever could. I know that sounds cheesy, but that's just how it worked for me.

I think it is definatly one of the most overhyped song of all times because people want to act like they know what's going on so they list it not even knowing 90% of the lyrics. It is a solid song, important to the history of music but not even Nirvana's best song. Actually there are a few I like better myself from them. All Apologies is probably my favorite. Lake of Fire is good too. My Girl is another.

Cobain didn't write that one; that's a Meat Puppets tune. And as far as I tell, Nirvana never did a song titled "My Girl." You're not confusing them with the Temptations, are you?

Teen Spirit was a really good song, nowhere near the most overrated song.

Yeh I know the Meat Puppets wrote it. I think Cobain says that on one of the live downloads. I like their version of it though.

Blackwater by Meat Puppets is a good tune that I had forgotten about.

 

Lithium and In Bloom are two others I like better than Smells Like Teen Spirit.
