I'm a huge UK fan, but this win doesn't make us the "capital of football". Give me 4 or 5 wins in a row and we cal call it that. Just not right now. Last years win was huge. This years win was big as well, I just don't get the same satisfaction knowing how horrible UL is. Also, if we're going to call Lexington the "Capital Of Football" because of two seasons, we might as well call Louisville the "Capital Of Basketball" of the same time period.

Just because they made UofL look terrible doesn't mean they were just average. UofL has a ton of potential but they couldn't find it Sunday. Dropped balls, tall and fast WR's.

"We're just a group of guys, not very many of us, that weren't recruited by Louisville, and it felt great to just put it back in their face." I felt espcially good for Brad Durham because of the whole Louisville fiasco, I was tickled pink that he ended up going to UK anyway, I was going to hate having to root for him in red. Either way, he is now 2-0 against them Cards! Lots of KY kids contributed, I love it.

Since UK beat Louisville it means Louisville is "bad." Didn't you get that memo? No cover sheet on your TPS report? I think it's hilarious that when Louisville beats UK, UK is bad and UL is good. But I find it hilarious that when UK beats Louisville....UK is still bad, but it must mean that Louisville is worse. Talk about dissing your own team and not wanting to give credit where credit is due.
September 1, 200818 yr Seems like some of the Cardinals (fans/press) are "flying the coop! I guess that is is "fair weather" today I cannot wait to see how long it will take teenagers in rural areas to quit wearing their Cardinal Red because they were such bandwagon jumpers. I swear the year before UofL played FSU in that rain storm, no one in rural KY that was under 18 cared about UofL football. After that their wagon got heavy and it made me sick to see many red shirts on kids who just wore it because they were good for 4-5 seasons. It is good to see them come off now!

September 2, 200818 yr UK does have the overall advantage. Yes UK does and it sure is sweet. Good thing for UL the series has not been played every year because outside of the recent success by UL they have had inferior football teams historically to UK
