And he should have a close enough relationship with his wife to know how many properties she has purchased...right? :thumb: McCain also may not have been sure whether his wife owned some properties personally or if they were part of a family trust. Obama has portrayed the question asked to McCain as being how many questions he owned, when in fact the question was how many houses he and his wife owned. Is a condo a house or an apartment?

 

McCain said it was a complicated answer and agreed to get the Politico reporter details. The question was clearly intended as a "gotcha" question and McCain mistook the question for a legitimate request for accurate information.

Agreed. I also can't fault McCain for not knowing off-hand, it appears to be a complicated situation involving Cindy's trust and their children's and some family member's homes.

When we start thinking alike, I get very concerned.

Joe Biden is a stormtrooper and a tough guy, he'll forcefully reverse himself by saying that Obama has the demonstrated ability to unite, he'll be fine in debate, and ultimately he will not detract too much from the campaign. Won't help, either, but I don't think the impact will be that great. Bottom line is that not enough people will care to make much of a difference.

Biden was the leading advocate for splitting Iraq into three provinces because he claimed that our troops were in the middle of an unwinnable civil war. He also opposed the surge and was a very vocal critic of General Petraeus.

 

Biden's foreign policy experience is not all positive, especially with regard to the Middle East. Both Biden and Obama were wrong about what it would take to win the war in Iraq and it is not too late for them to lose the war if they are given the chance.
