August 20, 200818 yr 116-85 I think. Yep, that was it. In an important Olympic devolopment, Amanda Beard isn't dating Michael Phelps and supposedly he isn't her type. Amanda Beard denied dating Michael Phelps on the Johnjay and Rich radio show yesterday. Amanda made it sound like the idea of dating Phelps made her sick. She said, "Ewwww, gross, sick …" and "Come on, I have really good taste," a lot during the interview. THEN Phelps got upset, so Amanda responded this time saying: "Everyone who knows me knows I can be a jokester, but I guess I took it too far. I never meant to say anything rude about Michael. I am 100-percent sorry for what I said. I take full responsibility for it." I know everyone's day is complete knowing this back and forth drama, do they make a cute couple?
August 20, 200818 yr You know, I never have been a fan of Amanda Beard. I know I'm in the minority here, but a serious female athlete that poses for Playboy and says "I'm trying to show young girls what healthy bodies look like" is a fake in my book. After all, how many young girls read Playboy? Why not just say that "I'm hot and I like men to look at me." All that being said, what she said was mean and certainly not "joking". Considering she followed up her '04 breaststroke gold by not even making it past the semifinals, she may want to rethink her priorities.
