How many current Reds roster players, could be starters on any other MLB team? We would probably all agree, less than 3 position players and 3-4 in the pitching staff.

 

That equates to, basically a team in transition and hopefully capable of spending money this winter, in areas of need.

He's playing for the starting CF job next year unless the Reds go out and get somebody to play that position in the off season.

It might help the evaluation process if Dickerson was to actually play a little center field. I know he did Sunday, but something tells me he won't be spending a whole lot of time out there as long as Patterson is around.

That's what I'm thinking. He may not be the long term answer, but if he continues to hit just a little bit and plays decent defense, why not keep him there for the time being.

They can't get anyone that is a signifigant upgrade. They are going to be bad for the foreseeable future. And you did advocate keeping Hairston and Keppinger around in a couple of threads also, I can go back and quote you if you want.
