Newport Middle schools looses to NewCath 20 to 6. Newport offensive line just could not stop #60 Thacker up front along with #54 Collopy at the LB spot. Newport's #13 had the only score for Newport. Newport's defense just could not handle #15 Hayes - Hayes had several good runs. Pangallo #9 had a few good runs also - NewCath's running game is their bread and butter with #9 and #15.

Did NewCath onside kick multiple times?

NewCath seem like they would find a dead spot to avoid a return.

IMO if you focus on stopping #15 Hayes and keep an eye on #9 Pangallo you can stop their offense. As far as their defense you'll need to stop #60 Thacker on the nose and #54 Collopy at the line backer. It seemed like #54 would line up toward the strong side.

In search of a fill-in MS game (due to cancellation) on Tue. 9/23...can host or travel within reason...PM if interested. Thanks.

Corbin's 7th grade travels to Somerset this Thursday for a big conference game against Meece, both teams are undefeated and have been beating there opponents by a big margin. This should be a great matchup of two very good football teams.:fight::fire:
I hope Meece's 7th grade running back/strong safety is back for the Corbin game. If not Meece may struggle against the Redhounds. This is going to be a great game none the less. I'm looking forward to Thursday night.:thumb:

Corbin's best defense player is in question right now with a head injury.

Which player are you talking about, I haven't gotten to watch them yet? Are you coming to North Laurel tomorrow night to watch the JV Jumpers?

Will Lange has hurt his shoulder. He has had his arm in a sling all week and did not play in the Foley game. Everyone is hoping he will be ready to play in the Corbin game, but I saw him today and he says it is still pretty bad.

I won't be traveling to North, but I will be there for the Russell and McCreary games. Can't wait to see them play. Give us a recap after the game tomorrow. Good luck.:thumb:

I heard there was an argument between the 7th and 8th coaches for Scott County after the SCMS and ELKHON game did anyone see?

GMS beat Woodford 7th and 8th grade, I dont know the score. Woodford was in the spread... ??? They should have stuck with the power game.

Scott County Middle 12

One of the best middle school games i've ever seen.It was won on a 2pt play in overtime. Should make the Bluegrass Conference interesting. There were a lot of people saying It would be a walk in the park for Scott County this year. Any other Bluegrass scores?

How did Scott look? We have them last game of the season.

Thacker is a former Dayton kid now attending Holy Trinity who I hear is a good footballer. Pete Collopy is an absolute animal for NCC. I hear in practice he has to play like Roy Williams did in Training camp. They wont let him hit anyone he has to tag them which makes him even more jacked up for the games.

Scott County is a good Team. QB runs the off. Well. Very well Coach. There best Player is ( I Think) number 2. Good Hands and Great on Def. (Fast) There Def. is good and they like to Bliz there Mike alot. Number 56 I think. Scott is hard to stop. But can be. There kids play hard and very well coach. Now on the Scott County Coach's. I didn't see them do or say anything. We ask them to come over and have a word of prayer with us and they did. I think there a class act. It was a very good game from both teams.:thumb:

Agreed, the Scott County Middle School coaches are a class act. Their kids play hard and display good sportsmanship.
