Is it true that Bell County 8th grade QB is 16 years old would'nt be a big surprise to me he looked aweful mature to me.If he is he should'nt be able to play his senior year.

 

Does Bell County play in a conference? If so, do they have age limitations?

 

I know in the Bluegrass Conference an 8th grader can not play if he turns 16 durring his 8th grade year. Something like that.

Newport looses to Holmes today 12 to 6. Newport racked a lot of yards in penalties today and also had some drop passes. One pass was dropped in the end zone right before the half. Holmes played some good defense and stayed into the game. Both teams finished the season today. Best of luck to both teams as they get ready to start their high school careers.

Campbell County beat Cov Cath #1 34-0. This will setup a semifinal matchup with New Cath next Saturday at Dixie. New Cath was the only team to beat the Camels this year so it should be a good one.

Yes this should be a good game but I have to go with NewCath on this one. NewCath overall has a better defense and IMO probably better coached. Campbell County has the number so they may be able to wear NewCath down if they can control a running game.

Twenhofel will win the championship. They are by far the best team I have seen this year. Their defense is very good. I realize NCC beat them the first game of the season, but I don't see them beating TMS a second time.

The interesting thing about Twenhofel is that there only tough game was week 1 against NCC. There was a large disparity between the East and West divisions. Twenhofel will be in the championship after beating Turkeyfoot this Saturday. However, they will have their hands full with either NCC or Campbell who have played in the much more difficult East division.

7:30 Turkeyfoot vs Twenhofel

Monday night, Greene allegedly knocked a referee to the ground during a Bell Co. and Corbin Middle School football game, held in Corbin. Greene, 36, was charged with third-degree assault on a sports official and the game was canceled. Due to the incident, Corbin Middle grabbed an easy win.

Yes, 7th grade game. Corbin was leading 26-0 at the time. I believe this happened toward the end of the 3rd qtr.

Elkhorn Middle School is the best Middle School team I have seen.

 

Very well coached, but VERY TALENTED as well.
