The Newport Wildcats Domiated the Bracken County Polar Bears tonight 35 to 0 great job Wildcats and keep it up!

Newport's O-line played great against the Polar Bears. They made some big holes for the backs and gave #2 Baldwin plenty of time to throw the ball. Guilkey #13 was the running back and he had some good runs along with Stull #10 the FB leading his way. Pearson #40 as the WO that ran some good routes along with Fisher #48 making some good catches as well. Maybe this group will bring some skills as they move up to high school.

I was impressed with the Polar Bears as far their size and I sure they can hopefully build some success in the future. Good numbers on their side lines and a great fan support.

Sure would have liked to have seen the New Harlan/Bell Co. game this year. Too bad Bell's schedule was too full to play.
Did Bell Co. play Whitley Co. 8th grade? If so what was the result? Whitley is one of the best 8th grade teams I have seen and I know Whitley and Bell are in the same conference.

Bell Co. defeated Whitley Co. 14-6. Game was at Bell Co. a couple of weeks ago.

South Laurel 8th defeated Madison Middle today 32-0

Newport beat Pendelton County today 15 to 8. Newport played off beat today. PC had a god running game once they got going. Newport's running game was going good at first and the passing game struggled. Newport's QB threw the ball descent but there appeared to be some miss communication between the WO's and the QB today.

3 in a row for the Wildcats. Nice job. Any word on how NCC played this weekend? I hear they are the top team in this division.

NCC was getting ready to play one of the CovCath teams when I was leaving but I haven't heard anything on who won. My opinion is that NewCath probably won this one.

NCC beat Cov Cath 29-0. The Camels beat Holmes after that in a close one. That should set up a NCC/Campbell rematch in the playoffs.

Meece Middle (Somerset) swept a pair from Northern Middle (Pulaski County) Saturday. The 7th grade won 38-6 while the 8th grade won 50-6. With the sweep Meece swept all 4 games from Southern Middle (Southwestern) and Northern Middle for the 2nd consecutive season. Good job young Jumpers!

Any word on the NCC vs Holmes game that was played last night?

Campbell County beat Newport last night 26-8. Very solid team effort from the Camels. Nate McGovney threw 2 TDs, ran for another and had two interceptions. The D line was causing all kinds of issues for Newport. Final regular season game is this Saturday vs. Cov Cath #1. If the Camels are victorious, that will set up a rematch against NCC.

The Camels were solid last night against the Cats. I however disagree with the Camels coaching staff and their lack of respect when a Newport player was down. Their coaches were barking out commands so loud from the sidelines that I could hear them from the top of the stands. In fact I even heard a fan from the county scream, "suck it up kid - get off the field" what a class act. Newport played hard and so did the Camels - got to give both teams a hand for that. Newport's QB threw some good passes that should have been caught and also threw two interceptions. Newport's running backs played hard and the O-line played hard. Newport will play Holmes this saturday and hopefully come out with a win.

Looks like it will be NewCath and Campbell County in the playoffs. IMO NewCath will win this one. Both teams have a lot of talented players but NewCath IMO is the better team.

NCC 27

Camels 14

Is it true that Bell County 8th grade QB is 16 years old would'nt be a big surprise to me he looked aweful mature to me.If he is he should'nt be able to play his senior year.
