Get over it. There private they pay and they can get who they want and also they are not world beaters.

So since their football team is not good right now we should turn a blind eye? Tell me more, I think both below average, average, and great teams should all follow the same rules...this doesnt happen. World beaters or not they need to go play in a local All Star sports league, with other non school teams.

How is Lex. Cath able to play in this state tournament? They dont have a middle school, is this like an AAU football team from Lexington? Who checks their grades? Who checks their ages?

How are they able to play anyway since LCA beat them?

Elkhorn finishes with undeafeted season and Conference Champs. Great job by the Elks and Staff. Ryan Timmons had 3 TD's.:dancingpa

Perhaps you should take the time to learn the facts before posting information you know nothing about.

According to the brackets, Morgan Co. won the East KY MS Conference...not sure who that includes. Their 8th grade was 15-0 and 7th was 9-1. They play the double wing like Estill Co. HS and are very effective at it.

They had a terrific year with the double wing.

From my understanding they pull from all catholic schools in the area and will also let any one who attends Christ the King that goes to public school to play with them as well. IMHO they are an all star team. Can anyone confirm this?

Answer to the bolded part:

No. and no!

At least for the last 5 years and I believe much longer than that the rule has been simple. You are not eligible to play on the Lex Cath MS football team if you attend a school that is a feeder to a HS with a football team. That means NO public school student can play. Also no LCA MS student can play.

It is no 'all star team'. In the last 5 years there habe been between 22 to 30 players in both 7th and 8th grade. Everyone who wants to play is on the team regardless of experience or talent. No one has ever been cut in the last 5 years and the coaches have worked to keep less talented players on the team if they got discouraged or had trouble getting into shape at the beginning.

All of the of Fayette/Bluegrass Catholic 'Middle schools' are part of the elementry school and thus have very limited enrollment. The highest enrollment is around 180 total MS students. Some have only 90 or less. Compare that to public MS that have up to 1000 typically. So without a centralized team there would be no way these schools could. There is a downside to this approach. There is not much support from the MS/elementary schools themselves and the travel for nightly practice is expensive and burdonsome.

Lets stop spreading completely untrue, inaccurate stories about LC and the Catholic system. Whether it is maliciousness or ignorance - it is wrong.

Schools report grades to coaches. Students can not....

oh why do I bother....
