Pet Peeves

When people do not close the cereal box after eating out of it.

People who drive, and never leave the left lane.

I pretty much agree with the bolded part (its the law anyway whether I agree with it or not). Then again, I'm not real happy with drivers that think the Interstate system is Daytona and do 90 mph either. And another pet peeve is mine is when you are driving on a 2 lane highway (1 lane each way) and you are going the speed limit or even slightly above it and the yahoo rides right on your tail to "encourage" you to speed up. I usually slow down 5 mph when someone does that to me. I'll go the speed limit; if that's too slow for you, keep your proper distance and then safely pass me when you can.

Here's a pet peeve of mine--urban legend emails! A friend of mine forwards me so much garbage and 95% of it is complete fabrication. I want to tell her to check snopes.com, but I just don't have it in me. So I generally just delete almost everything I get from her.

This came up in another thread not too long ago, so I apologize to those who have to read this again.

Restaurants that never seem to have what you order. I'm telling you, I've tried, over the course of the last couple of years, at least 6 or 8 times to get a pot pie at Bob Evans. It doesn't matter if it's a minute after 5, or a half hour before closing time; they're ALWAYS out. So as a consequence, I then order something much cheaper.

That's OK...save your money. The Banquet Pot Pies are only, like, $.75. :D

People who can't return their shopping cart to the designated areaPeople who park in handicap spots that shouldn't (you know who you are)

Checking the blackberry while having a conversation

This one is a big peeve on my list as well.

Get over, and let him by. That way, you both can go your own speed and be happy....

I'm serious when I post this: "Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others." (Philippians 2: 3,4)

Pull over where on a two lane road? Cow pasture, Zippy Mart. someone's driveway?

I do it regularly (when I am holding up traffic).

It's not hard; there are things called "driveways"....

It's also called "courtesy".

It is "courtesy" not to tailgate someone when they are driving the speed limit or barely over the limit.

True.

But it also is not difficult to notice a line forming behind you....

I have so many I don't know where to start.

This morning MrRk and I went to Frischers (?) for breakfast. I decided to have the breakfast bar. Just when we started to eat this family of 6 (Mom, Dad and 4 little bitty children)

Wow, they certainly are putting some interesting selections on breakfast bars these days.

It is totally annoying when people cut across parking lots and/or go down the wrong one-way lane in parking lots. There are arrows, the parking spots themselves lean toward the way you are supposed to be driving for a reason....

Waiting in line at a store and the person in front of you has started checking out when they realize that they forgot something and they have to go get it.

People who forget to turn off their turn signal, and you have to follow them waiting for them to turn.:madman:

IF I have a trailer or am hauling something and going below the speed limit then I will pull over.

But I am not pulling over if I am going the speed limit or 5 miles over. There is not need for someone to be going 65 in a 55 anyway.
