I've Got a Confession, I....

Featured Replies

No, I'm almost sure I can tell you what it was. I think it was a combination of two things. Sitting in the living room one Saturday afternoon, when I was really little, watching a movie callled "The Fly." The other was probably the giant s.p.i.d.e.r episode from Gilligan's Island.

Would you rather be trapped in a room full of squirrels or spiders? :D

Well....I could list some for you, but I think the purpose of this excercise it to have you admit them. :p

See the problem is I can't think of them! Help me out here!

Denial?

Denial?

Nah, PepRock is totally awesome.

Although Rockmom might consider supreme confidence to be arrogance and extreme cockiness.:p

I am EXTREMELY fearful of bees, hornets, wasps, yellow jackets, etc. I've been stung dozens of times (worst was 16 while mowing), and every time, the itching and burning of the sting is a piece of cake when compared to the agony of them swarming around you.

I literally shut down and panicked after mowing over a yellow-jacket's nest one time. I just stood there shaking. If it wasn't for my parents swatting them off of me, I don't know if I'd still be alive. I was that panicked.

I've been trying to do my part on this thread to alleviate fears by posting pictures in a non-threatening environment. Here's one for you:

Like swimming in a lake???

Yes or the ocean.

If I can't reach the sides, I'm a bit unsettled.

I hate wet paper.

I don't mind using a wet paper towel to wipe a counter or something down with but absolutely will not pick up a wet napkin, note book paper or anything like that. Especially if it's outside and has been rained on.

Yeah I know. It's weird.

I've also got a little bit of OCD in me.

:

I check my pockets about 3 times to make sure I have my carkeys before I lock the car - even if I know I just put them in my pocket.

And this is kind of weird, but I am afraid of hillbillies. I don't know what it is, but I have nightmares about hillbillies just sitting around their porch and playing the bango, just freaks me out.

Is that anything like cornhole?

:laugh: I know one thing and that is that cornhole now obvioulsy does not mean the same thing as it did years ago.

If it does then I am positive that I would be scared to death of that game.:scared::scared:

Heights and roller coasters. Wife got me on the one at Dollywood a couple of years ago and just about freaked. I told her never again. Also, I have to go back into the house, at least, twice to make sure everything is off when we are gone a long period of time.

Oh, forgot, in-laws. They scare me to death.

I am terrified of spiders, i am very claustrophobic, when I clean i cant stand to see it messed up with in 5 min( it drives me crazy), loud crunching annoys me....I could go on lol

I have a fear of large dogs. I was attacked by a german shepherd when I was 15, and although my brothers and I always had dogs growing up, my fear of large dogs still persists. My dog is a small house dog...a yorkie poo.

And I am severely allergic to cats.

I had a German Sheaprd since the day I was born......literally. I was told that my dad stopped on his way home from the hospital on the day I was born and bought a german sheapard pup. That dog died when I was 15 years old. We always had dogs around when I was young, the German Sheapard, a Bird Dog, a couple of Beagles (rabbit dogs). I love dogs.

Now, Cats are an entiely different story and would be included on my "I confess" list. I do not have fear of cats I just hate the things, any and all cats to me are worthless. Cats are in the same family and just a very small step above a skunk imo.

I am terrified of bees and that sort of bugs. It is partly that I am allergic, but if I see one, I walk away. When I am mowing the lawn, and i see a bee on a dandilyon (sp?) I mow around it so it doesn't fly up and attack me, I know, parinoid.

Finally someone that agrees with me. They are so snotty and prissy and they just make me mad to look at them. Our neighbor has 4 cats and I can be sitting out on the deck and one of her cats, QUEEN PATCHES, comes over to our driveway and just stands there and looks at me. I could just flip her over the garage:lol:
