I've Got a Confession, I....

Featured Replies

I confess that I constantly have to check for my cellphone and car keys to make sure I still have them..I guess it's sorta OCD but I could not stand the thought of losing them.

And this is kind of weird, but I am afraid of hillbillies. I don't know what it is, but I have nightmares about hillbillies just sitting around their porch and playing the bango, just freaks me out. Kind of how people are afraid of clowns.:irked:
Is that anything like cornhole?

The family was on a coaster several years ago at Disney World, I think it was called Big Thunder Mountain. Midway through the ride, it stopped and wouldn't start back up. We all had to walk off on the maintenance catwalk. I thought that was pretty cool, but the rest of the family was not the least bit happy.

Oh my. I did that with the neighbors the other night...

I am deathly afraid of Cotton Balls. Don't ask me why because I couldn't tell you. It's at the point where I will run if one of my friends trys to touch me with them.

I am EXTREMELY fearful of bees, hornets, wasps, yellow jackets, etc. I've been stung dozens of times (worst was 16 while mowing), and every time, the itching and burning of the sting is a piece of cake when compared to the agony of them swarming around you.

I literally shut down and panicked after mowing over a yellow-jacket's nest one time. I just stood there shaking. If it wasn't for my parents swatting them off of me, I don't know if I'd still be alive. I was that panicked.

Speaking of OCD, I've known two people (one a CPA, the other a high school student) who write using a ruler; then complete the "loops beneath the line" - f, g, j, p, q, y, z.

That's one of the better ones so far. Did you have a traumatic experience getting a shot at some time (the armchair psychiatrist in me coming out, I guess)?

What about mothballs?

Maybe this will help. Start by taking furtive glances at the picture; then work your way to where you can gaze for long stretches of time. Finally, reach out and touch the screen.

In college, I knew a girl who was DEATHLY afraid of earthworms. After a rain in the summer, it was all she could do to walk outside.

There's no way I could do that with the s.p.i.d.e.y picture!

You people are cracking me up....then I see BF's avatar and I completely lost it.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

After a three-week stay in the leukemia ward when I was 5, I'm scared to death of hospitals and doctors in general.

Here, BF. Maybe this was the genesis of your aversion to arachnids...

No, I'm almost sure I can tell you what it was. I think it was a combination of two things. Sitting in the living room one Saturday afternoon, when I was really little, watching a movie callled "The Fly." The other was probably the giant s.p.i.d.e.r episode from Gilligan's Island.
