Track The Reds (Week 15)

Featured Replies

If anybody is going to "carry" this team in the 2nd half, it'll be the starting pitching & bullpen.

Ah but his OBP his high:lol:

You're preachin to the choir when it comes to the Donkey:D

I think Bruce is the perfect guy for the 3-hole, but I just don't see it happening this year.

Next year's lineup could look something like this:

CF-Hariston

SS-Keppinger

RF-Bruce

2B-Phillips

LF-Votto

3B-Encarnacion

1B-Alonso

C-some guy off the street :D

Alonzo isn't even signed yet, and I see 2010 as the earliest you'll see him in a Reds uniform.

Does anybody know where Yonder Alonso is currently playing? Has he even been signed? I tried to find him in the farm system, but to no avail.

I figured it was wishful thinking, but I just don't see Dunn back in a Reds uniform after this season, so I'd assume they'll be moving Votto to LF.

See post 33

I think Alonzo will be ready at some point next year. As the year goes on it is pretty obvious Votto doesn't need to playing 1B and I think he will move to LF if Dunn is gone.

I was talking offensively. Its obvious the pitching staff has to perform. Pitching is not quite the same issue as it was last year. The O however has been subpar.

Here's the pitchers matchup for the 3 game series with the Cubs.

Tuesday-Harang 3-10, 4.47 ERA,vs Dempster 9-3,3.24 ERA.

Wednesday-Cueto 7-8,4.63 ERA,vs Zambrano 9-3, 2.96 ERA.

Thrusday- Arroyo 6-7,5.82 ERA, vs Lilly 9-5, 4.47 ERA.

Isn't Jocketty known for trading people like Alonzo while he's a prospect more than anything else? I think Votto will be the 1B for a while here

Yeah, let's put Dunn and his .220 average there....And you're complaining about Jr. hitting .237? Get real.

Maybe if this weren't the norm for Dunn you would have an arguement, but now we're comparing Adam Dunn to Johnny Bench....You Reds fans amuse me.

Bench was not the #3 hitter. That was Joe Morgan. Bench split his time between hitting cleanup and #5, and occasionally in the 6 hole.

Didnt Bench have back problems that year or was it later in his career?
