What gives you an adrenaline rush? There's a thread on whitewater rafting that made me think about this as a topic. Anyone ever parachuted? Bungee jumped? Driven on a superspeedway? Maybe it's rollercoasters or a certain ride at an amusement park that you really like.

 

Let's keep it clean and legal. :thumb:

My biggest thrill was probably the drop zone at Kings Island.

Biggest adrenaline so far in my life has been making eight 3's in our championship game this past year against another fraternity. It was the first time my parents saw me play since their divorce, plus all my brothers were there and I was just on fire.

 

Might sound lame to some, but hearing Tim McGraw sing "Live Like You Were Dying" is a pretty big adrenaline rush for me as well.

 

I want to eventually go Sky Diving too and I am sure that will top anything.

The first time I saw the Statue of Liberty.

Standing in front of Jim Morrison's grave in Paris.

Getting an autograph and TALKING to James Doohan of Star Trek.

 

And the biggest rush of my life....it may not seem much to many of you,but....sitting in an audience and hearing Vincent Price recite (not read) 'the Raven'. The hair was actually standing up on the back of my neck.

I assume the plane was on the ground and your thrill was that you were in a foreign country, correct?

I told a mugger with a knife in downtown Berkeley, California, that he couldn't have my wallet. One of those "go ahead and make my day, punk" feelings. I'll never forget the adrenal pulse. I also now have a 3 inch scar on my left shoulder to prove it. Ruined a darned fine suit coat, too.

Not a thrill, but certainly an adrenaline rush was watching a car snap a telephone pole in half like a toothpick, and then running up to the car not knowing what I was going to see.

MY answer would be different in my younger days, but these days, my biggest thrills come from watching my kids play sports.

Biggest thrill in my life? Are we talkin' like what gets the adrenaline going more than any life experience?

 

If that's what were talkin' about, I'll say crowding around the locker room door and listening to the roar of the fans and the band as you wait to enter the field for a game against your rival.

 

Also, warming up and waiting for your name to be called in the starting lineups before rivalry basketball games.

 

These things used to make me feel like my heart was nearly coming through my chest...

Mine are kind of obscure, or different....

 

1 - I was born in New York, and have lived around since...in July 2001 I had a chance to take some of my friends back home...on July 11th 2001 at about 9:45 am we were on the top of the World Trade Center, the thought of the hindsight is very surreal to me...

 

2 - I saw Sammy Sosa hit #60 in Wrigley back in 1998

 

3 - Pearl Harbor, and how quiet and respectful, everyone is out there, compound that with the fact that the U.S.S. Arizona still leaks oil to this day, that is unreal

 

4 - my first time on the field for the Trinity/X game.

 

5 - Watching my 3 year old do things, and act independently....

This got me thinking, I've had stitches w/out anesthetic as well, however I wasn't quite what you'd call sober.

 

And thinking back, I don't think they offered or I questioned, it was probably one of my most idiotic injuries to date.
