June 28, 200818 yr How many more chances is Majewski going to get? He is goodness awful and can't get the job done. All we kept hearing was "when he is healthy" well, he has been healthy for over a year now and still can't get people out. Of course the Bad News Bears routine in the field doesn't help matters. Majewski was doing pretty well until his last three outings, and I'm willing to give him a pass on the 14-1 game.

He previously lost three consecutive starts in a single season from June 2-12, 2002 with Kansas City. Byrd is 4-1 with a 3.04 ERA, while starting seven of his 14 career appearances against the Reds. June 28, 200818 yr Why hate on Dunn in the #2 spot? Dunn is historically the Reds' best on-base guy and he's not the most reliable RBI guy, which hurts him in the 3-5 spots. Why not take advantage of his ability to get on base at the top of the order? Wow! Where do we begin. .221 and .239 avg at the 2 and 3? Yeah great idea:rolleyes: Niether can bunt, or move runners over. If they do get on base, they are station to station. Dusty keeps these two at 2 and 3, the Reds will be under .400 soon.

Ideally you want someone in the #2 spot that has a high on base percentage AND can handle the bat. The #2 hitter needs to be able to move runners over both by bunting and by hitting behind them. Dunn is proficient at neither, he's not a good #2 hitter.
