May 18, 200818 yr Will be interesting to see how the Reds do this week on the West Coast. Reds struggled with the Dodgers when they were in town here. Hopefully they can keep this hot streak going though. Dunn is finally coming around and the starters have pitched great through the last week.

This trip is huge: a good trip puts them right in the thick of things in the Central while a bad trip would erase the progress they made this week.

If they can win 4 out of 6 in their 6 game series with the Dodgers and Padres, they will be in good shape.
May 19, 200818 yr True. If they can win 4 out of 6 in their 6 game series with the Dodgers and Padres, they will be in good shape. 7 games this week...
May 19, 200818 yr 7 games this week... My bad. Forgot it was a 4 game series with the Padres. Game 1 will be tough with the Dodgers with Penny on the mound.
May 19, 200818 yr Author My bad. Forgot it was a 4 game series with the Padres. Game 1 will be tough with the Dodgers with Penny on the mound. Penny is always tough on the Reds, but he has struggled of late, and was pushed back a day due to arm stiffness. Hopefully the Reds can keep the bats going.

The Reds beat a really good pitcher today in Lee. As long as their pitching keeps them in games like they have over the last 6, the Reds bats will eventually win the ball game for them.
May 19, 200818 yr Winning at least 5 out of 7 would keep the mo' rolling... Winning 3 or 4 is like spinning your wheels if you ask me...
May 19, 200818 yr How can you win five games in a row, feature the ERA leaders in both leagues, play on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and only fill 80% of GABP? I can see that against the Royals or Twins but not the Indians. The Reds need to fire their entire marketing department.

The Reds win 6 in a row, so you have nothing else negative to come in here and post about. .:sleep:
May 19, 200818 yr Author How about this stat. The Reds improved to 17-11 against teams with winning records, and are 4-12 against teams with losing records.
