There were a lot of things that were said last summer and in the preseason, you know, and I thought I was going to play. It didn't happen," Redick said. "I'm certainly not going to sit there and hear the same stuff and think I'm going to get the same results. I'm going to put some of this on myself to get better, but there's got to be an opportunity for me to get on the court."
May 16, 200818 yr Did someone say JJ? i swear, its bad but I watch and laugh every time you post that video.
May 16, 200818 yr O.K. then J.J., we are going to be trading you, couldn't get anything out of you so we are going to trade you to a Jr. High that has a top prospect for his commitment to leave high school for the NBA and sign with us in around 6-7 years or so.

I think he has connections at that level.

May 16, 200818 yr He better be glad that a team in the NBA will even give him a spot on the roster. He should sit back, be quiet, and collect his check OR he will be working for coach K as a water boy...
May 16, 200818 yr Who could Redick play over for the Magic? He is definitly not going to play over Turkuglu or Lewis. Evans is a starter and is very athletic and plays hard. Keith Bogans brings much more to the table than Redick does. Bogans is twice the defensive player he is. Theres just not a lot of minutes in Orlando.
May 16, 200818 yr Sounds like he has a sense of entitlement. Hate to break it to him but the competition in the NBA is a little tighter.

Sort of my thoughts. While I hope JJ proves me wrong, he has very little leverage with the Magic.
May 17, 200818 yr Who is he to say something like that please.... It's actually very fair for him to say it. He had meetings with them when they brought in Van Gundy, he asked what his role would be, he got an answer he liked, and it never came to fruition. He's far and away the best shooter on the team, and day in and day out, outworks others in practice, both have been noted in Orlando periodicals over the last 12 months. I agree, play him or trade him, don't let him rot on the bench.
May 17, 200818 yr J.J. - "Play me or trade me" 0.0000000000000001 seconds later... Orlando - "We'll start looking for a deal"
