One of the few things we agree on 98...

We agree on a lot more when you're not just trying to pick on me and look like the good guy.

Off the record you always say "well if I agree with you on there then I'm the bad guy too even though you're right." :sssh:

It's not my fault everyone hates you... :bunny:

It's actually disappointing that I can't argue with either one of you...

I was thinking the same thing , I agree with both and imo it is a combination of the two.

BLAME TODD COFFEY!

Not a chance! It obviously is the fault of Tubby Smith. (I know, dead horse, I just had to though) As larry the Cable Guy would say....."Lord I apologize".

I agree with most of the above... I absolutely can't stand it when people say "You know what they should do?..." and then give some insanely stupid impossible idea that would have no chance of every happening and/or working...

I agree with that, but that works for just about ANY call in show, hence why I don't listen to any of them.

That's not to say you won't get a caller or two with a valid point/argument. But a majority of people blindly follow or blindly rip their team with no common sense to back up their case.

Not anything to do with the Reds but I remember some years ago on a U.K. / R. Pitino call in show when some clueless idiot actually ask......"Coach Pitino, I was wonderin', why ain't Richie Farmer getting any playing time"?

I have no idea how Pitino held it together but he replied....."well, that it easy to answer... you see Rich has gained too much weight, has not worked hard and has gotten out of shape and cannot move up and down the floor in the way it takes in our system anymore", Pitino then paused and said "Besides that he graduated two years ago"!:lol:

I lost it, was rolling. After Pitno said that all you heard was a "Click".

I have to agree. It baffles me to read and hear some of the things I do on here and off of here. In Reds fans defense though, I feel like the baseball IQ of much of America has dropped considerably. Doesn't seem like as many kids play baseball and watch baseball anymore. Kids wont sit around and watch a baseball game anymore because they have the net, Ipod, Xbox, etc. Hard to learn the game if you dont play AND watch it.

Man do I feel old after saying that...

For the most part, they simply don't understand the game. And that's at a very basic level.

Plus I hate the "I paid my ticket so I'm free to act like a moron" way things have "d"evolved... :p

It should be, I paid for my ticket, therefore I am a moron."

Example of low IQ. About 5 years ago I was at a game and the Astros blooped 3 hits down the right field line in the first 2 innings. The guy sitting next to me had this response.

"Man our right fielder is playing too deep. They need to pull him in a little bit."

I have a low baseball IQ compared to you all- a few weeks ago I posted in a Track the Reds thread that we should walk what would have been the tying run onto base in the 9th because it was Pujols- but I think that I still know more about baseball than a lot of the people at the stadium.

My question would revolve around whether or not people in this town were actually baseball-smart, or just that now that we are losing everyone has a solution, while when we are winning no one sounds dumb talking about the good things.

If you need confirmation that the Red's fan base is full of idiots go to the message boards at reds.com.

If I hear one more person complain about the Reds giving up Hamilton instead of Dunn I will scream.

I just wish that the Reds would have been smart enough to trade Dunn rather than Hamilton.:D
