Chad Jackson at Scott County?

Featured Replies

So if you got a job that paid you $70,000 a year would you move to Scott Co? 160 to 200 tranfers a year. Some can play basketball.

Correct--My "loop" doesn't get D-1 level transfers every year--They play with the hand they're dealt?? What a horrible concept??

Yeah, counties should just start putting up walls around themselves so nobody can get in or out. What a horrible thing to do by accepting transfers of people that want to come to school there. Who would do such a thing?

Again with the every year. Name the D1 level transfers each year for the last 10 years. I'm waiting.

I do not see many Rose Hill Fans upset! I do not see the school upset! Euton mother is the AD at Rose Hill not upset! Just fan from other schools upset. Just tell your AD not to play Scott Co. If family want to move to Scott Co. we should tell them you can but you will not be able to play basketball. Because the other school in the 11 region will not like it! That is silly!

Euton and Jackson will do well at Scott. I wish them both the best. I'm glad I got the chance to see them play at Rose Hill a few times.

Regardless of the reason for the move, as long as the KHSAA is fine with it, I am also. If I had a child who was as gifted at a sport as these two are, I'd move once a year if it benefitted the kids. It's a parents duty to do whats best for their children. Jackson and Euton will both gain a lot from going to Scott.

I really don't understand what everyones obsession is with all of this. I'm not a RH fan, I graduated from a 16th region school. I was in high school when OJ and his crew moved into the area and I never complained about it once. Was it fair ? Probably not. Did Rose Hill break any rules ? Nope. No reason to complain if it's within the rules.

Also, I would love for some of you that are complaining to honestly tell the rest of us that If Jackson and Euton or any other D1 calibur player for that matter were to decide to attend the school you support, that you would turn them down or be ashamed of your program for accepting a transfer.

Agreed!

Scott County has got quite a few blessings over the years.

I've only read to the quoted post, I'll read on, but never find a better post. My nominee for post of the century. Says so much in just one sentence. Well done. :thumb:

I have seen in other posts your displeasure in Scott County getting transfers.

I just want to know if you would have made this big a fuss if Euton and Jackson had transfered to Lexington Christian or Catholic. Scott County has gotten several transfers in the last two years, however before that the last one to my best memory was Scott Hundley. Schools get transfers every year, why are you so mad at Scott Co.

Scott County got back-to-back Mr. Basketball players as transfers in Rick Jones and Hundley. That's a neat trick, if you can pull it off. Now, another surge of transfers and you can't figure out why anyone is mad at Scott County?

Its amazing (and refreshing) how Rose Hill reacts when they lose a player to another school for whatever reason. They simply wish the player the best of luck and continue to root for them. Obviously, Rose Hill has been damaged athletically by this move more than any other school, yet they are not the ones complaining. Could it be that they are truly more interested in the success of the kids than other schools?

What is it that sets the Rose Hill fans apart?

Somthing to think about

But you have to admire their support of their kids no matter where they end up:thumb:

Being a true Christian I would think helps.:ylsuper:

I just want to say I wish the best of luck to Scott Co. as well as Dakotah Euton and Chad Jackson. These two young men are just trying to make the best of their High School experience and I see nothing wrong in that. I just want to wish the best of luck to these two young men and the Scott Co. program you will have a wonderful season.:thumb:

In Matthew, Jesus teaches us the parable of the good and bad trees (and fruit), in this context we are like the trees.

Matthew 7:17-19

“Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”

Matthew 12:33 NIV

"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.”

Clearly we are to be like the good trees that bear good fruit. To bear good fruit, a good tree needs plenty of water and sunshine. To this end, we are assured, in Psalms: Psalms 104:16 “The trees of the LORD are full of sap;”

As far as being “weird” the thesaurus offers “peculiar” as an alternative to “weird” to which I offer you this little gem: 1 Peter 2:9 "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:"

In this context, I’d have to conclude that being “sappy” and “weird” (peculiar) are very good things indeed. I can assure you that Mrs. Fastbreak and I feel the same about you, Mrs. Jed, Jethro and Junior. :thumb:

From the Book of Madeliene Korbel Abright BEIV

1st Clintons Chapter 7:14

"Again I saith, when ye are found wanton and in guilt by the vast intricacies that are surmounting then by every occasion defend thee and others."

Epistle of Prevaricator

Chapter 1:2

"Ye have heard it said in olden times that after enough fabrications then those who oppose ye will soon believe ye."

Seriously Fastbreak, you must be a great reya to all the parties that are leaving Rose Hill. I really wish the kids the best and hope they accomplish all of their dreams on and off the court.

But you crack me up with some of these post. Great Job! :thumb:

Since this thread has gotten a lot of response. How many out there would not give their child the same opportunity the Eutons and the Jackson are trying to give to their children. I am going out on a limb say 100% would do the same thing the Eutons and Jacksons are doing if you are a parent of a gifted child. As a parent I have always wanted to give my children the best. I may be wrong about this, but I am going on record to say that any caring parent would do what is best for their child if they have the chance.

I would like to wish both of these young men the best of luck. If they are transferring because of sports that does not bother me as long as there family is moving with them. Now if I was to find out SC had recruited these kids I would think differently.

Totally Agree!

I just find some of these post amusing. If nothing wrong was done then why defend their every move. The left, wish them well and go on with life.

The post you quoted was intended to crack you up. I deliberately went the long way around the barn to justify with humor a good friend's concerns about sounding weird or sappy. I was just letting him know that under the right circumstances, weird and sappy are good.

It's all good. :thumb:

And everyone will be talking about what an amazing job Billy Hicks has done with this team next year!
