You are being a little harsh here. He has weaknesses to his game, like anyone else coming out of high school. He is a good ballhandler for his size, plays team ball, finds his teammates, creates shots for himself and others, goes to the boards good, etc. He didnt look like a great shooter (free throws and otherwise), doesnt always go 100%, and wont kill you on the block either. He has improving to do, but he will be able to play at that level. He set up just about all the points Setty had tonight, got a big board at the end and knocked down the free throws. I wasnt blown away, but I didnt hate what I saw either.

 

The bolded is what stood out most to me. I was amazed at how much standing around, and loafing up and down the court that he did in the first half. I do think that Billy G. can get that out of him at UK. I was also shocked at the body Miller has developed in the past year. He looks SO much stronger than years past. He definately has a SEC body.

Over who? He hit that big, rainbow 3, but I dont remember much else.

 

Look at todays box score in the H-L line by line, minute to minute & that should tell you.This is not a knock on the other kid as he plays very hard & is a good "D" player but it has been this way all year. Also I'm sure this is the first time you have seen them play at least this year.

You say don't be too harsh on Miller, you shouldn't be so harsh on Ferguson.

He had 19pts and around 7-8 rebds(5 in first half according to radio Stats)

and this was accomplished with a 5star player who has signed with UK:thumb: defending him for almost the whole game. Last time they met he had 27. He is just a junior, and was giving up a year in experience and strength, 51/2 inches and 30 some pounds.

What's this about "The Real Mason Co." showing up Friday? It looked to me as if they showed up tonight, but Elliott just outplayed them at times.

I was pretty close to the play where Knipp grabbed the rebound and lost the ball to Miller. In my opinion, it was a case of a physically stronger player (Miller) swiping the ball away from a physically weaker Knipp. I didn't think it was a foul.

 

On the other hand, I was way too far away from the Ferguson drive down the baseline where Miller blocked the shot with another defender on Ferguson. I was expecting the whistle to blow on that one.

Good game. Mason County didn't look as sharp tonight and will need to get much much better if they want to get to the finals. Free throws. I thought Elliott did a good job of slowing the game down and had a chance for their first legit win of the season and it would have come at a great time.

I did not get on here today expecting to find,or looking for, derog post toward EC from you & one or two others who make it their mission, but it could not be helped from being nocticed! Hats off to Elliott Co they played a GREAT GAME. Coach Mays had a great game plan.

I thought many times in the game Mason was lazy and standing around on the shooting end, but to thier credit they seemed to of had a switch and turn it on or off whenever they wanted. Miller was clearly a man among boys and could pretty much score when he wanted, rebound when he wanted, drive when he wanted, and stop on D when he wanted, the sad part is he didn't want to do those things that often. I was disappointed in the way Mason played this game and am very proud of Elliots game. The wanted it more and proved to alot of folks they will be a force next year. I do hope MC plays better tonight, maybe with some passion, and shows everyone last night was a off night.

Ah, 90% of Elliott County knows who I am, so I'll just say that Maynard is too good of a shooter to be watching the game.
