Ok what I am trying to say is that I think Paintsville is a team of destiny and you can quote me on that. When you get to the State Tournament it's about who can go out and play the hardest and smartest. I think Paintsville wants it really bad.

 

You want to talk about destiny? Let's try on for size it's the thirty year anniversary of Holmes near championship with a very questionable call preventing that, but more important is Holmes Coach Henley's twenty five year anniversary of a triple overtime loss in the championship to Henry Clay. If destiny is to be step in and rear it's head it looks to me that the two losses can all be washed away for Holmes and Coach Henley with State tourny title. (Not to mention that Rozella Young, the long time score keeper for the Carlisle Co. School(where Henley played ball), is being inducted into the Hall of Fame for her service to the sport of basketball. I know for a fact Coach Henley was one of her favorite players. This all happening in this tourny tells me destiny is on Holmes side.

If Paintsville can stay out of foul trouble, I say they'll stay with Holmes to the very end. They put up some points on J-Town showing that they can run. They're a very strong and smart feisty bunch. Bulldog defense will keep the score lower but I still wouldn't be surprised to see it get into the 70's with the winner winning by no more than 3. Should be an awesome game. :thumb:

Holmes by 15 in a somewhat back and forth contest thru 3 quarters. Holmes will pull away down the stretch due to multiple turnovers and fatigue late.

 

The guard with the messy hair for Paintsville might wanna get faded up in the morning... He'll need every bit of his vision to even think about dribbling out of the Holmes High Hoyas' full court pressure. After what I saw late in the J-town game, that particular guard could be good for up to 7 turnovers tomorrow.

That particular guard is as tough as nails, messy hair or not. Outside of Sloan, that guy's quite a spark for Paintsiville. The dude just played his guts out against a very tough J-Town team. He's proven himself and I don't doubt that he can handle the pressure that the Bulldogs will give him. :thumb:

Don't think it will be a calk walk at all but I'm felling that if you listen to Coach Henley of Holmes he stated earlier that any team that is the Sweet Sixteen is a very good team and nobody should be taken lightly. With that being said his quote after their win is that they will now face a buzz saw in Paintsville. So as all sesaon (except the Newport C.C. game) Holmes will not take any team for granted. Coach Henley won't let them.

I doubt very seriously Henley is going to take a team who's 30-3 lightly or the two best teams in the state if they do indeed move on.
