Holmes 64 Bardstown 44

Featured Replies

Henderson's dunk over him came after Edelin blocked his shot. Much sweeter revenge IMO. I much rather have my shot blocked than dunked on.

Oh, I agree. I just thought it was important to note.

Noted. :thumb:

The one where he dunked over Damian Edelin (Sp?). Got the ball on the baseline took a power dribble and rose up.

Definitely a nice dunk. Wasn't expecting him to rise up and dunk the ball when he caught it there.

That has been Henderson's trademark spot all year and where many of his dunks have come from.

Very nice, and fun game to watch if you were a Holmes fan. The four first half dunks were pretty neat to see. And yes, this game could of been alot worse. Holmes will need to play even better friday, if they wan't to advance.

Side note: Henderson will be visiting LTU after this tournament.

Sorry we missed each other. Will you be around there Friday? Maybe we can catch a beer then?

Since my pick in the BGP contest, UHA, has been eliminated, I will now switch my pick to Holmes to win it all.

Should be there all day. We headed out to eat with some people on Nicholasville Road after the first session anyway. We are planning on sticking around and getting something in the vicinity of the Arena on Friday. No reason to get out in that mess of a traffic situation that always exists in Lexington on a Friday. Ugh.

Are you new?

And as bad as they shot, they were still up 27 when all 10 of the regulars were down for good with about 5 minutes left in the 4th.

It's like Henley has been telling the boys all year "Defense saves when your offense isn't working."

I don't care if they were layups of their toes were on the line. They had better shoot better against Paintsville or they will lose. They are a good team and put up A LOT of points.

Last I checked 23 of 52 is 44% which is about what most teams shoot consistently. If you are hitting about half your shots I think you are doing fine. Not to mention the Dawgs defense is the best down there right now. I think the FT's will hurt them more than anything. Holmes has missed a lot of gimme's all year as they did in the Highlands game but they also create a lot of high percentage shots and flush the toilet more than any team I have seen this year. Their main concern on Friday needs to be putting Arrez on Slone and holding him to 14-18 points. Arrez shut down the kid from SL last year and I expect him to do the same on Landen.

I posted earlier in the year that I thought that this year's Holmes team is better than last seasons. I think they play great team defense and are very unselfish on the offensive end.

This team could win it all.

I think they are the best chance in a long, long time for the trophy to reside back in the 9th region. I'd say the favorite right now is LexCath and heck, CovCath beat them.

I think Holmes is going to win it all. Not sure why, I just do...
