Just got a pm from someone that said Gambill was moving to Lexington. I dont think this would be true, he has a sister that plays for Rose Hill and he plays baseball also at the Hill. Just thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone knows.

So are you accusing Scott County of wrong doing?
Not at all. If I was going to, I would. But even you would have to admit (well, maybe not) that the rash of high-profile transfers to a program that has won two regional titles in the last eight seasons might look a little suspicious to some of those on the outside.

Are you jealous of the program?
No reason to be ... I live nearly 300 miles away.

Is it wrong for a Mr. Basketball-calibur player to transfer to a school with a better bball team, but okay for this to happen at smaller schools like Hazard with players not hardly as good?
You tried to equate the two transfers to Hazard with the recent transfers to Scott County. The two Hazard kids are there because of the hiring of an assistant coach. Maybe they're just not able to lure the big game like you guys are.

What is your point?
Well, if Euton, Jackson or Guyn win the Mr. Basketball award at Scott County, that's quite a trifecta, like I said.

But you would like to think that the master coach of player development could have done it with a homegrown player, too.

Yes he is moving in with Clay and Pam and is going to be a starter next year for the basketball team and the baseball team. :sssh:

Just joking he will be at Rose Hill next year playing basketball and baseball. Even though he would love to go with Dakota and Chad (if he goes) he will be here. His sister will also be playing ball next year.:D

What is going on with Jackson?? Where will he be next year?? Seems like a lot of confusion and indecision at this point regarding CJ?? Is that where we are currently at the indecision point?? Looking for RH fan to give their take. Thanks.

I have heard it said many times that "players can make the coach".

They have come from as far as a Las Vegas Buffet line.

I'm sure not a RH fan but . . . I just received some info!!

An individual wishing to remain anonymous told me that Jackson's family is getting matters in order to move. He is look at Scott County or Bryan Station but probably SC.

Can you blame kids for wanting to play for the best coach in the state? I can't blame those kids for transferring.

Also whats the difference in players transferring from school to school at a smaller scale to play for a better team and it happening on the bigger scale. In your mind is it any worse.

Also I'm not from Scott Co, but I really like the way they play the game. I fell in love with them Tyler Hicks' senior year at the Sweet 16, ask BellAlum.

Also Scott Co. went undefeated in the state of Ky with a state title last year. How many of those players were transfers? Coach Hicks develops talent

When I was in high school, we just played for the school were we lived. :thumb:

When you were in high school did any kids move away and go to another school? There are a ton of reasons to move. Are you upset because families are moving?

I'm not upset at all. I could care less about Rose Hill or Scott County. However, its one thing to move. Its another to:

Well if you look at the Euton situation he obviously had to move somewhere. So with him being a great plyer I don't see whats wrong with wanting to play for a good program.

Yeah, that might be true.

Sounds like an indirect recruiting pitch ... repeat it often enough, and eventually the right people start to believe it.

No one questions the idea that Hicks is a very good coach. But why has the "best coach in the state" won only two regional titles in the last eight years?

It happens everywhere, but it's ironic (or maybe not) that the example you keep citing is the school that had kids come in from your alma mater.

Gee, if it's OK for Scott County to get them, shouldn't it be OK for Hazard?

I said last year that Scott County had one of the deepest and most talented teams I had seen in this state ... before everything is said and done, that team will have at least three kids play Division I basketball. It's just as much talent as it is coaching.
