I thought all transfers were scrutinized by the KHSAA whether they are protested or not

Henry Clay lost their best player two consecutive years! Minnifield played 8 games and Moses played 11 games. (They wrere 15-4 in those games) They played a very tough schedule and still managed a respective over .500 record? I do not think you can rate a coach or a team on a record or what they look like on paper? The Guyn situation was a situation where he and the family thought he was better than everyone and did not like that the coach treated everyone the same!!! Therefore the coach made the decision to cut the ties at the end of the season! then he tried to go to Oak Hill? I know that Henry Clay did not protest the decision from the KHSAA and are very pleased with the program.

It is a basketball move an he was honest about it. What's wrong with that?

What I am saying is that he shouldn't be out talking to the media and also mentioning Jackson may follow. He needs to keep his mouth shut and definitely shouldnt mention Jackson as that is not really his business to tell. THAT projects the wrong way. Do you even know what I am saying?

Any kid that transfers for any reason should be eligible if we are concerned with kids and not the pocketbooks of the organization labeled to protect them.

Hmmm ... last year, when Scott County won the state title, it was because of coaching. This year, when they got bombed in the regional semifinals, it was because of the talent.

 

I never said this year the team did not do good because of the talent situation. Scott Co. didn't win the region because the region was very good! Your not going to win the 11th region every year. It didn't help that Scott Co. lost a top 40 player in the country in September.

 

As far as I know, UHA has had very few transfers in and out in recent years. All of their key players have been guys that have been there for four years.

Langhi transferred in last year. I know he wasn't a star, but he was a starter.

You Scott County guys have a problem with Tilghman or something? This is two years in a row that a poster or two there has had a crack or two about Tilghman's coach.

 

As for the Tilghman post that I had in another thread, I just didn't think they looked very well-coached. I simply said that if you look at the personnel it appeared that the 14th, 15th and 16th region looked better coached. Thats just an observation I had.

As for why I think Coach Hicks is such a great coach, his teams are always fundamentally sound and in all the games Ive watched, Ive only seen a couple games where in a big game they got outplayed.
