Joe Billman and Marla Gearhart will represent the 16th region boys. Marla will be the second female to officiate the boys state tournament. Quite an honor!!

Representing the girls will be Bobby Hall and Karen Phillips. Karen Phillips is making her first appearance. Bobby Hall has called the boys and girls state tournament numerous times.

There's an interesting story about Joe Billman on WKYT today. I don't want to say much about it because its at least possible that its another Joe Billman.

Billman is out.

Billman is out.

Out of the state tournament?

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

I was hoping that someone would catch my attempt at some humor!

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Are you talking about David Watkins from the 8th region, sure hope not:laugh:

What about Watkins or Asher? They are both under rated officials.

Asher called the regional final. Can you believe that?

No, I think they would of had Coldiron, Knollman call. Coldiron lives in Shelby County and Mike Clark had Knollman scratched. The two best officials in the 8th region not able to call. What ashame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also heard that Gearhart is calling the NAIA Championship game tonight. Will the 16th have any representatives now?

That is true.

Billman is out.

Out of what?

Out of what?

He is not working the Sweet 16 and did not see anyone there yesterday from the 16th region.

Out of the state tournament?

Check out the Ashland paper-The Independent, Tues. I think.

Whoever called the South/Hazard game was the worst I've seen so far.

Scott Bottoms and Tony Gray from the 12th region.

Two of the best officials in the state! But put them with the wrong crew and your in for a long night. Thank God Mike Black wasn't calling he's the worst official in the state. And for those of you that know Chris Tilley he's alot better than Black!

The refs in the Mason/Elliott game were horrible. They weren't ready for that level of matchup.
