:laugh:OK that's your right to feel that way but you are probably the only one my man.

I agree with you HJ, but I do believe he will be missed a whole bunch down there.

:rolleyes:No more then any other I would imagine.

Ricky Buckler from Bellevue will run the ball amazingly again this year. Just doesn't have the massive line he had last year.

That may be the case, but this years amazing runs may be 4 yard gains because it will be amazing he can get that far with no returning O Linemen... Not to mention QB... Receivers...

Bellevue has Josh Macintire and Zack Lucas back on the o-line. They have Timmy Berkmier back at reciver. Richard Wells should start at QB but he has very little experience.

Bellevue will be okay. They lose all but 3 starters on offense which will hurt badly, but the defense should be decently strong with quite a few players coming back like 5 or 6 starters on a turnover filled d.. good luck tigers! :jump:

Travis Lyvers will be back he was doing great at MLB until he got hurt against NCC.

My question would be, and I know that kids can improve dramatically over an offseason, is if those kids were that big last year, why weren't they starting? HC's offensive line was ok, but there was room for improvement last year.

Mark Nie got hurt half way through the year and played tackle were previously stated Donnie Stowers played and Holy Cross bound Eric Oldiges played. And Andy Merrit is a guard who was stuck behind a senior, unfortunatly being a senior means you start at HC last year, and the other kid I mentioned Bernie Gripsover. But Merrit still played about half the game at alternating guards.

I'm surprised nobody from Conner has mentioned "Scooter" Englemon, cousin of former Michigan FS Brandent Englemon.

Scooter probably runs a 4.5 40 and has great hands. If he's gotten any bigger this off season which it looked like he had when I saw him during the region tournament in Feb at Conner, he might very well surprise some nky folks.

Bellevue will struggle mightily this year. Richard Wills will take some beatings at the QB position and their defense will be on the field much of the game which will make their TO number go down.

Their offense will simply be to give the ball to Ricky Buckler and Michael Hatch and hope Ricky can use his speed to get by the front 8 and hope Hatch can try to bully people.

Yes William "Scooter" Englemon is a very talented kid. He probably runs a sub 4.5 40 now since he has been running track this offseason. I believe he has also gained alot of stength. He will be used mostly as a utility man for the cougars. Most likely starting on both sides of the ball and on special teams. He probably is one of the stronger backs in NKY as he is benching about 245.

I can remember when Scooter was a freshman and weighed probably 135lbs soaken wet holding a brick.

He has definetly gotten a lot bigger since then. I look for him to have a pretty good year this upcoming year. Holmes lost a really good player when he decided to transfer because Coach Trosper left.

Scooter has gotten bigger and faster. Running a timed 4.3 (Coach timed stopwatch) and also growing strong on his lift.

Alot about the Cougar offense here. What about the defense? Dockery, Schank(sp), Geiman? How is it looking?

UK's 2 fastest RBs run a 4.2. If he runs a 4.3 he should have SEC coaches all over him. That is a very fast time for NK highschool football.

Even if he runs 4.3 (which he doesn't) ... you need to add the hand time conversion which is .24 .. which puts him at 4.54.

Also .. I know for a fact that he doesn't run 4.5.

In track .. his best 100 time was 11.24 (which was hand timed).

Guys who run 4.5's are easily breaking into the 10's in the 100 Meter Dash.

I am not real sure why people try to inflate these times ... it doesn't do anything but set the kids up for a lot of false hype.

Scooter will probably be one of the faster players in nky this upcoming year but I have to agree with your post especially the last part.
