Pendleton County has some returing plays also WR Clay Eshman, QB Austin Kenoringer, RB Ryan Stegman, FB Dillon Green, all tough kids and play hard. Hopfully pc has a great year.

Is this the same Scott Turner that graduated from Newport in the late 80's?

 

Coach Turner was a great player for the Wildcats. And now is a good teacher, and a great coach for the Bluebirds. Someone had said, that he could teach a one legged player how to pull and trap. :lol:

I have to throw some love to my Ludlow boys. I expect big years from Braydon Mills, Derek King, Ronnie Banks, Josh Montooth and they all play both ways. It's a necessity here.

 

After the loss of Logan and Trammell (sp.) I dont see the offense as good as last years.

I'm hoping for some changes in the offensive scheme, with ball control being the key. They return quite a bit of talent and hopefully the kids will play to their potential.

Doubt you'll see any change in the offensive scheme. While Ludlow does have 3 very capable RB's, they don't really have the type of offensive line that can establish an I-form offense. Ludlow is best suited to stay with the spread and run everything from the shotgun formation.

You're probably right, but I would hope they would RUN the ball more from that spread formation than they have in the past. That's what I meant by a ball controlled offense.

Logan was a receiver last season. He did return punts and kick offs. He had a good year, but can and will be replaced.

"Man Eater" Manillo(?) is going to be a very good player for the Beechwood Tigers.

And your point? He was a senior. He can and will be replaced. Grant did some good things last year, but he wasn't the heart of the program by any stretch.

It might be a little tougher for him this season because they lost a lot up front, but Dayton has a big strong back coming back named Mike Richardson who was a tank last season. He didn't get as many carries with their big senior class but was their go to guy in short yardage situations and averaged something like a TD per 4 or 5 carries...
