Montgomery County's facilities are very nice and they had a huge staff there working to make sure every aspect of the experience went well. Augusta brought the crowd that we expected to see. Scott had a good sized student section but other than that not many people. With 2 northern Kentucky teams playing there could have been a bigger crowd at the Fieldhouse but like many others have said, if you're team is playing at this point in the season if you can make it you're going to go wherever they play. Besides, what ever happened to the good ol' road trip?

2 dollar pulled pork sandwiches were good to.

Its a 2 hour trip from Taylor Mill and A lot of people couldn't get off work.

MC girls drove to Campbell.....whats the diff?

I guess the 1 st, 2nd, & 15th regions shouldn't have to drive three hours to play in the state tournament?

I've had to travel 6 hours on a BUS to a state tournament, and did not complain one bit. It's an honor and privilege to go to state. It is for region too, but state's different.

I wonder if Nike is sponsoring some of the gas money for Mason's Trip to Montgomery like they sponsored some of Mason's Trip to Hawaii.....

Actually some of the local businesses are wiring money to us so we can bring a decent crowd to fill the so called "palace." After the Wednesday and Thursday's sessions the businesses in Mt.Sterling are really going to have to step up to the plate and replace the gate money lost to participating schools. What a shame.... and to beat all the snowstorm expected is going to push games back until the first of the week which will hurt attendance as well. DIG DEEP!!!

The first session brought in more than the first session last year from what I hear. Not sure about the others but I bet Montgomery's did as well.

Everyone will stop complaining soon as Mason moves past Clark & Montgomery. I just wish it was over already. Have a nice off season.

This PC fan enjoyed his experience at Montgomery County.

What a nice facility! The parking was better and getting in and out was alot better than Mason County. I won't mind being "inconvenienced" every four years.

Great job by the host Montgomery County and their people.:thumb:

They won't let you in the gym until an hour before the game starts.

A lot of us had to wait outside in the cold while the Montgomery County people ran around inside doing nothing but watching the Kentucky Ball game. We saw this on the tv just inside the door. When we finally got inside we all had to sit in these seats in long rows that were very difficult to get in and out of. I suggest when you get a seat that you stay there for the whole game. These seats are only good for movies and church where people do not run in and out all the time. Who picked those seats out anyway. There is a lot of wasted space there. Montgomery County will never hold the crowd. People up stairs have to go down the stairs and then into the gym. It is difficult to keep up with anyone upstairs. Good luck keeping up with your kids. I still think Mason County has the better gym even though it is 30 years old. And one more thing I do not live in Mason County.:fire:

 We already know you don't like it. We got it after your first 20 posts about how it was such a terrible place.

Paris is about 1 hour to Maysville. Not a bad drive at all straight down US 68.

I went last night to the game as well. I thought that Deming didn't bring as many people to the game as they usually do and I heard several complaining about the seating.

I have to add, I WENT TO THE PRETTY POTTIES!!! They aren't as pretty as the Montgomery Co. athletic director predicted, scratches on the doors and everything. I was expecting at least 24 karat gold seats! I must say I was disappointed. I took a picture but can't get it to upload. I wanted to hear everyone else's opinions.

Hey listen, I will bet you there wasn't a line out past the concession stand waiting on you to pottie either. The seating is perfect and atleast you can see what the score is from every seat in the house. When at the fieldhouse, you had to keep up with the score in your head if you were sitting in the upper-deck at Region. And you never answered my question in the other thread "What do you have against Montgomery Co?" And by the way the Region is being held at Montgomery Co. NO CHANGES!

Try keeping up with it outside listening to it on the radio like some people will when they get turned away. Rumor has it....Port-a-lets will be set up outside to accommodate the crowd, plus a bell hop to wipe to the seat before entering.:fire::dancingpa:ylsuper::devil:
