March 6, 200818 yr The Lexington station says their computer model shows us getting 14-16". Same thing down toward Louisville. Now they've changed it to more like 12". They also shifted the heavy area away from Louisville and more toward Ashland.

March 6, 200818 yr They updated the forecast on the National Weather Service website, updated the forecast from 5-10 inches to 6-10 inches by Saturday evening. If the warm air doesn't push further north this could turn into the biggest snow fall this millenium in NKY, don't think we've seen a foot since 98. Here in Newport, KY we got almost 15 inches of snow in December 2004. That was one heck of a storm, i remember some streets didnt get plowed for 3 or 4 days. In Cincinnati they had to bring in trucks to ship the snow out of the city!

March 7, 200818 yr I remember in the mid 90s(96 I believe) we had 37 inches of snow in my parents front yard in Pikeville...I will never forget that storm. How much is Lexington supposed to get this time around?

March 7, 200818 yr Wow, that's quite a bit of snow. How much was in the backyard? :lol: I am guessing somewehere in the 36-38 range...I can remember riding my 4-Wheeler and the snow was coming over the front of the ATV it was so deep.

Local news in NKY is calling for 5 to 8 in a majority of the greater Cincinnati area with 8 to 10 north of the area, and less southeast of the area.

Heaviest snow between 5 today and midnight or so tomorrow, they're thinking the system is going to stall and continue to dump.
March 7, 200818 yr GRRRRRR!!! I want this stuff to stop because it's going to knock NKU out of playing home baseball games next week out in Florence thus meaning that I can't work as many hours as I was expecting to, which in turn means that I won't get paid as much as I thought here in two weeks. GRRRRRR!!!
