Ok UK fans defend this one...

Featured Replies

Wouldn't surprise me to see this series end after the contract runs out.

Which would be an absolute shame. Hope that doesn't happen.

I just don't see how it is copromising the schedule to play a short week when your next game is against Norfolk State..

I don't like the idea of a Monday night game but C'mon that's big time publicity that can help the recruiting greatly if the team shows up and has a big night.

FSU and Miami are in the same conference as are most of the rivalry games that take place the last week of the season.

And like you I also think that the series with UK will end after this contact runs out, there's got to be a directional U someplace that UK hasn't got on their schedule.

I really didn't expect a response from you. Although Rich Brooks and company did teach their Cats how to play harder than the Cards last season. He's the only coach in the rivalry to have a win so since UK was cowardly last season I think the burden of proof rests on Coach K.

So, and I think we agree here. But since I'm not sure what color the sky is in your world I'll just ask, UK did win last season. Since the UK staff, was in charge of the game date and they did in fact have their jobs riding on it, and they did what they though was right for their program in their eyes are they in fact cowards? Did you ever stand up for your family AllTell? Would you ever tell your son to get his butt kicked before you tried to teach him how to defend himself. Go ahead, be honest would you let your child get his butt kicked when you could help him defend himself? I want to honestly know. Would you get your children's butt kicked and/or get fired just to prove a point?

Are you kidding???

If Uk is so superior to Louisville, as most UK fans would have us believe, then it shouldn't matter when they play. UK got their way when it was their home game now they want their way when it's not.

No, no. Most of the UK fans count the Cat's as an also-ran. Go back and actually READ the posts. The FACT is last season UL wanted to play on Sunday, (I beg you to aswer this although I know you won't) CORRECT? This season UK says they will play on Sunday and yet that isn't good enough?

I was responding to someone else with that post.

You know for all the talk about how cocky Louisville fans were before last year it certainly seems like a whole lot of UK fans here are getting a little full of themselves after last years game.

We need to discuss the topic and leave the personal jabs out.

What happens if Norfolk State wins? The season is ruined.

Winning brings about exposure. Exposure doesn't bring about winning.

UK is a middle of the road SEC team at best. UK fans know this. However, we trust our coach--our AD, not so much.

I strongly disagree with this statement.

and C'mon if Norfolk State beats UK any day of the week with any excuse you want UK don't deserve any exposure..

Really? I'm surrounded by Kentucky fans daily and I am yet to hear anything that is remotely cocky or arrogant. If anything, Kentucky fans are extremely worried about how next year will unfold with a new QB at the helm and the loss of a lot of stars on both sides of the ball.

I strongly disagree with this statement.

In the long run but not in the short run.

Maybe Louisville can let UK play one of their Sun Belt or OVC teams.

Go back and look who's recruiting class was higher rated. Crawford, Bradley etc. or Florida's 2 time National Champs. I'll save you some time. It wasn't UK. In basketball if you get lucky once or twice it can really change your fortunes. In football it might make you a 7 win team vs. a 4 win team. See Uk the last couple of seasons. As for your delusional statement about basketball, well UNC, Duke, UConn, Kansas, Michigan State, UCLA, and even Texas have been able to do that for the last 5 years. History just means it is over with. As for wanting to coach UK? Well let's just say that I won't pretend to know better than the current staff. However, good luck when they name you head coach. I do have to ask, what level do you coach at right now? Please answer this one question?

So your really confusing me here? You say to go back and look at the 2004 recruiting class, why? I mean why is that the only and specific year you talk about. Also you say go back and see which class was higher, I actually believe UK did have the better recruiting class that year, even though you say they didn't?

Also you must be really missing the whole point here aren't you, and just like personal attacks I guess right? So I will try this one more time. Someone said before we will NEVER be able to out recruit the top football schools in the SEC. I simply thing that is a bunch of crap, because it is not impossible. I used the basketball reference because in basketball people use to never think anybody would be able to out recruit UK because we are one of the best programs in history. Yet I believe teams have definitely out recruited us in the SEC in the last 5 years or so. I think Alabama has atleast one year, and I pretty sure a couple of others. Also Florida had a better recruiting class than us this year, but I bet people would have never though that would have happened. Which goes with my point, it is not impossible to out recruit these top schools just because they are storied football programs. I mean teams have found away to now out recruit our storied basketball program, and that was my whole point about the whole thing. So yeah it was not bogus and definitely not delusional like you said.

Also as for another personal attack by you. I will answer your question. I have only helped out with youth football programs, since I have been in college getting and education. I mean I simply answered your question that you asked me in your previous post. You asked me if I would like to coach UK, and I said I would. Which I bet most of the posters on here would also say the same thing and that they would like to coach UK to if given the chance. :sssh:;)
