Ok UK fans defend this one...

Featured Replies

Like 6-6 with a preseason top 10 ranking?

This Louisville fan doesn't accept those results. That may be good enough for UK but not for me.

Can UL do a Sunday night game...I have heard there is Ironman Marathon in Louisville that Sunday...seriously.

No clue there...

No clue there...

Yeah, I'm kinda at a loss here myself.....What was the point?

You're probably going to have to get used to them. The Big East is no joke and I think Coach K is too good a person to accept Petrino's renegades.

So I ask you for a response. Although I know you won't give me one because that is just your way. How badly did UK need to play that game on opening weekend to have a successful season? Were the Wildcats hurt or did the staff do what is best? Who came out ahead? Go ahead, you can answer honestly, we already know.

What do you mean that's my way?

Kentucky won the game last year. That's one in a row for you, congratulations. I still think is was cowardly and petty on UK's part to change the timing of the game last year and I pretty much feel the same way about this.

I can't believe after all the garbage last year and the end results that we are having this argument again. I trust Brook's handling of the schedule and if he wants to drop UL in favor of a team from a real conference that can get on TV on a Saturday, fine with me.

Sorry but unlike UK fans I won't accept continued mediocrity.

UK and BCS in the same thought. Really hysterical. Sorry you missed it...

So you criticize Kentucky for not wanting to be the best - for not gaining the most exposure possible and settling for mediocrity.

Then, as soon as any talk about the BCS comes up, you laugh it off. Nice.

And why shouldn't UK and BCS be in the same thought?

I'm not sure how fuzzy your memory is, but they beat the BCS National Champion last year; likewise, they compete in a highly respected conference - one that has produced the last 2 BCS national champions.

Laughter is good, so laugh it up. But you're the one who's missing it.

Maybe you missed it, but outside of that LSU game UK was 2-5 in the SEC. You can talk BCS all you want.

Hmmm and your point is? I mean I definitely remember saying that average was an improvement from where we had been. So I don't know why you are telling me what I said.

Then the football vs. basketball thing is not bogus at all for what I was talking about. Someone said before that we would never be able to out recruit the top schools in the SEC. I simply said people use to say the same thing about us in basketball. That no team would ever be able to out recruit us in basketball and get better players in over us, yet that has happened. So that point was not bogus at all.

Also nice little attack there at the end of your post my man. I never said anywhere about getting rid of the coaching staff did I? However to answer your question, of coarse I would love to coach them. Which I think most people on here would like to do the same. ;)

Go back and look who's recruiting class was higher rated. Crawford, Bradley etc. or Florida's 2 time National Champs. I'll save you some time. It wasn't UK. In basketball if you get lucky once or twice it can really change your fortunes. In football it might make you a 7 win team vs. a 4 win team. See Uk the last couple of seasons. As for your delusional statement about basketball, well UNC, Duke, UConn, Kansas, Michigan State, UCLA, and even Texas have been able to do that for the last 5 years. History just means it is over with. As for wanting to coach UK? Well let's just say that I won't pretend to know better than the current staff. However, good luck when they name you head coach. I do have to ask, what level do you coach at right now? Please answer this one question?

Why because UL didn't get their way?

Why isn't FSU and Miami opening with each other.

Why do most rivalry games take place at the end of the year?

For a few years,, many UL fans said the UK game was not that important, but with all of the crying going on, you would think that it is THE game.

Wouldn't surprise me to see this series end after the contract runs out.

Maybe you missed it, but outside of that LSU game UK was 2-5 in the SEC. You can talk BCS all you want. Until you are ready to take the steps needed to get there, step off the soap box and shut up. Black and white...

What steps are those?

Pimping game times?

UK got so much exposure last year, many TV's have the CBS logo burned into their plasma sets.

What do you mean that's my way?

So, and I think we agree here. But since I'm not sure what color the sky is in your world I'll just ask, UK did win last season. Since the UK staff, was in charge of the game date and they did in fact have their jobs riding on it, and they did what they though was right for their program in their eyes are they in fact cowards? Did you ever stand up for your family AllTell? Would you ever tell your son to get his butt kicked before you tried to teach him how to defend himself. Go ahead, be honest would you let your child get his butt kicked when you could help him defend himself? I want to honestly know. Would you get your children's butt kicked and/or get fired just to prove a point?

The steps needed to get to the BCS title game are through the 12 games scheduled for next year. Call me crazy, but I don't think anyone cares if Kentucky wins those games on a Monday night on ESPN or a Wednesday afternoon on Jefferson Pilot.

Personally, I'm not willing to potentially compromise our season because Louisville would rather play us on a Monday than a Saturday. While I'd love to play every game on ESPN, some things aren't worth risking. With a new quarterback at the helm, Kentucky will need all of the practices they can get.

FSU and Miami are in the same conference as are most of the rivalry games that take place the last week of the season.

And like you I also think that the series with UK will end after this contact runs out, there's got to be a directional U someplace that UK hasn't got on their schedule.
