Billy Gillispie SEC coach of the year?

Featured Replies

Just wondering what everyone thinks. I don't know how the award is defined, but if you look at the entire season, even with the remarkable improvement and all the injuries I don't believe he should get it with the record UK has. BUT if you are just looking at SEC play alone, Gillispie's resume looks great. I think right now it would be a 3 man race betweenn Pearl, Gillispie, and Stallings.

What does everyone think?

Ditto on Pearl!!

Pearl.

The SEC is not very good at all. Uk's resume isn't either. Pearl, or Stallings, IMO.

I agree, a 50 point loss is my deal breaker..

Being #1, it is Pearls to lose.

What if the Cats win at UT and go 13-3 in the SEC?

What if UT loses at Vandy also, meaning the Cats win the SEC?

I think Arkansas could possibly win out. Concidering the mess that program was in, JP should get some love.

I'm not saying any of these will happen. I'm saying it's too early to make this call.

I think it should be Pearl. However I think the second choice should actually be MSU's coach (who I forgot his name right now). I mean he quietly has his team first in the West, and second overall in the SEC. He really has done a great job with his team so far.
