Boys teams with a LEGITIMATE shot to win it all!

Featured Replies

UHA,PRP,Whoever comes out of the 7th and 11th,Holmes,Mason,Hazard,Paintsville, and Elliott all have the talent win it. Its basically whoever puts the best series of games together. I'm going to predict Bryan Station as state Champs this season if they can get out of the 11th which will be tougher than the actuall sweet 16. If they don't make it out I'll go with the Arrez Henderson led Holmes Bulldogs.

Elliott would be a very very long shot if they even get out the 16th region.

Out of the teams you mentioned the only one I disagree with is CovCath. I don't believe they will win it all, but I think have a small shot. They maybe better than Holmes.

Covcath has lost to the top 3 teams in the 9th. (Holmes by 9 in OT, Boone by 16, and Highlands by 1 or 2)

To say Covcath is better than Holmes is a stretch IMO. With that being said though, I think a better statement is that Covcath is the most dangerous team in the 9th any given night.

CC has no chance. Sorry, nice avatar, no chance though.

If Elliot (who they beat) and Hazard are considered to "have a chance" then so does CovCath.

Is Cov Cath healthy? I saw them in the fifth third and they looked good agaisnt Elliott but they had a kid get hurt pretty bad in that tournament. I know they played well early on so I didn't know I don't know if they had injuries or just peaked early because they went on a skid a few weeks ago.

Starting PG Chris Bondick was out for those games that they lost. He is back now and pretty healthy. They haven't been playing as well as they were before but hopefully playing against Holy Cross (a match up always with a lot of intensity) this week will get them back in stride. I don't think that they played Brossart this year for the last regular season game which I always thought was a good way to end. It got them into an intense matchup every year right before districts.

I pick a final with Mason and Scott County (or Lexington Catholic).

I pick SC (or LC) over Mason in the final.

I think LC has the talent to win it all, but LC will have to overcome the regional hurdle, and the last two years Scott County's Hicks has had LC's number.

The following have a chance to make the finals only because of their favorable draw, remember Apollo and Warren Central making it to the finals (WC in 05 - the year after they won it and Apollo in 06) with favorable draws.
Apollo didn't exactly have a "favorable draw" ... they were the underdog in all three of their Sweet 16 wins. And Warren Central was the underdog to Henry Clay in the 2005 quarterfinals.
No chance. None at all.

Dont be too sure of yourself. Corbin is a top 10 team. I think thats why they call it March Madness!!!!

They are? Who has them in the top 10?

Can we throw Southwestern in here now????????????????

Does Corbin have any top 20 wins this year? Please name them.

Lexington Catholic, Scott County, or Bryan Station. The winner of the region will be my hands down favorite. Scott County needs to find a point guard...they were scared in the District win against Henry Clay.

I think march madness has finally set in!
